I guess you all agree that Christmas is the time of year when we are more receptive to sharing love and compassion, lending hands, and being more tolerant than at any other time of the year. Although the hectic of finding our way through overcrowded stores and getting the last Christmas gifts just in time can be very stressful. But let’s leave that out for a moment and just concentrate on the meaning of Christmas.

Why is it, that we are so much more open to other people’s needs? Why is it, that our hearts seem so much softer? Why is it, that we can get pretty emotional? Christmas is the celebration of God’s love. God’s love is something we cannot describe. God’s love is the power that created us and loves is what we are. When we celebrate God’s love then we celebrate love itself. We celebrate what we all have in common: Love! We are love! Every being carries this love within. This is what connects us all. And yes, there is this magic in the air. Most Christmas songs are stirring our hearts and opening the door for letting love flow. The more doors open, the more other doors open automatically. Because we are ONE energy.

Imagine this energy like an ocean. We all are drops within that ocean, inseparably connected. We are ONE. So when some of us let love flow, it flows throughout this ocean and affects others. This mostly happens unconsciously. Of course, there are always some who are resistant to it. They keep the doors locked as well as they can.

That reminds me of The Christmas Carol. Some may be so disappointed by life or made such negative experiences that they locked the doors in order to not get hurt. They don’t realize that they hurt others. It might not even be their intention. But the pain inside of them might be so huge that they are not able to look over the rim of their thick walls to open their hearts. Now it is up to us to show them that love can heal. Love is like water. It flows through the tiniest gap and nurtures that little spark that is still there. Perhaps it takes time, but the flame will grow. It needs open hearts to open a heart. When this heart opens up and smiles again and is even able to open up another heart it becomes a virus. Being an active part of such a process is overwhelming. Making others smile and believing that there is more love in this world than hatred fuels that inner flame to a bonfire.

Do you feel it? Do you feel that warmth within your chest? Your heart, growing bigger and bigger, and the wish to share this feeling with others? Do you feel that? Do you want to go out and do something that makes someone smile? Do you feel that motivation to forgive someone? Do you feel the wish to surprise someone or gift someone anonymously?

You know what? This is the magic of Christmas! When you felt it once in your life, you wish you could feel it every day, throughout the year. It is exhilarating, uplifting, and empowering. It enhances your creativity and your happiness. Your whole being shines!

I call it the Christmas feeling because it occurs especially during the Christmas season. But it is not depending on Christmas at all. What you are feeling is the alignment with your soul. The head is silenced and the heart speaks. It is the alignment with your divine core and therefore with divinity itself. This is the feeling when the creation becomes one with the Creator. Being one with the Creator means being one with all that is. That’s why you feel so powerful and so wide. This is the power of who you really are. It did not just develop. It has always been there but was not allowed to flow into our lives, our thoughts, our habits, and our actions. It is always there this power of life, of creation, of innovation, of love! And you can access it at each and every moment.
