Gratitude

I’m thankful for my feelings, from happiness to pain.
I’m thankful that none of it I experience is in vain.

I’m thankful for nature, for the ocean’s endless wide range.
I’m thankful for each person that gives my view a change.

Mom – Awareness Of The Gift!

Cute_Lion_Child_Love_To_His_Mother_Lion_HD_Wallpapers.jpg

There’s someone there, no matter what
No matter where, no matter when
No effort seems to be too much
When you’re in need of anything

When you are sad or need support
She always has your back
When your schedule is breaking down
She steps right in and saves you from a heart attack

She’s by your side when times are rough
With open heart and ears
She always has advice at hand
She lets you talk and hears

Nothing ever kept her from
Putting her children first
A role model of strength and love
Even when she went through the worst

I’m blessed and thankful you’re my mom
You never let me down
And for today’s Mother’s Day
I’m donning you a crown

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms in this world!

Gratitude – The Power of Awareness

0_e1gErtebiQu7vhJZ.jpg

Imagine sitting on the top of a mountain and looking down into the valley. High up above, you see everything from a distance, the bigger picture. You see how streets are leading to each other, how small creeks are leading into a river, how the river flows into a lake. From up there, you understand how everything works together in order to make it all a complete and how necessary every little thing is. Read more ›

Gratitude – The Power Tool

quote-855.jpg

“What shall I be thankful for? My world is only illness, disappointment, and work. I am abused and money is always rare.” It doesn’t always sound bad when asking some people what they are thankful for. Sometimes it even appears many people are actually defending themselves against finding something in life they could be thankful for. It would destroy their negative picture of the world. And this is exactly the origin of their black perspective. Concentrating on the injustice in the world, the own frustration, fear, suffering, or addictions doesn’t let anything else appear. Although it is there it is not recognized. Read more ›

Thank You All!

maxresdefault.jpg

This is the day of the year again when we all reflect. We look back to where we were and where we are today, to the things we wanted to accomplish and perhaps didn’t but also to those achievements we did not expect to develop or happen one year ago. But however, this year was surely filled with so many aspects that make life life: ups and downs, insights, endings and beginnings, success and … less successful results. But whatever happened throughout the year, it all made us more complete. Our development progressed and we are further and wiser than ever before!  Read more ›

I’m Sorry, It Wasn’t About You!

I remembered an incident that happened quite some time back in my life. When it came to my mind I thought I may not be the only one who is endlessly thankful for someone who puts their ego aside and only helps us healing the wounds which still affect our lives at times.

Take the helping hand

So Excited!!!

When have you been excited the last time? Did something turn out the way you wished for? Did you meet lovely people? Did you succeed in something you worked for hard? Did things you were waiting and longing for finally come true? How did it feel? Weren’t you filled with adrenaline? Weren’t you filled with a feeling of immense power? There was happiness, gratitude, contentment in abundance, right? You saw that in the end things are well. You felt what happiness is about, what joy is about, perhaps even what life is about. But most of all you felt so very deep in the most positive way. And yes, that is what life is about.

The Magic of Christmas 💖

I guess you all agree that Christmas is the time of year when we are more receptive for sharing love and compassion, for lending hands and being more tolerant than at any other time of the year. Although  the hectic of finding our way through overcrowded stores and getting the last Christmas gifts just in time can be very stressful. But let’s leave that out for a moment and just concentrate on the meaning of Christmas. Read more ›

Weekly Review

It’s Friday! After a long break do to my absence I am back with another review. This a review of 3 weeks. I hope I don’t forget anything. As you know a lot happened in my life during the past 3 weeks and I couldn’t be any happier about it. But let’s get started!

The post with the most views is: A Two Weeks Review Of Gratitude And Blessings

6733305-115976967_28-v1

The best that happened during the past weeks for sure was my trip to and through the States in general. I already posted some times about it and I don’t want to bother it with a repetition of the whole story. If you did not see it yet, here is my review on that:  A Two Weeks Review Of Gratitude And Blessings

Marissa Bergen posted in her own special Marissa-way about the meeting of her, Carolina, Corinne and I. Please read her poem  To Find Ms. Kind. You need to know that after our meeting I drove down from above Hollywood to Newport Beach. The highways lead right through Los Angeles and it was Friday at 5 pm. The best was to take a nap right on the highway because it turns out as the world’s largest parking lot! Instead of 1 hour 15 minutes, it took me almost 3 hours to get home. Now see what Marissa made of it!!! She is amazing!

Another highlight has been learning about the Blogger Bash in London on June 11 2016! Hey, folks! This is the chance to meet a whole lot of other bloggers you already know from WordPress or make new friends. I cannot wait to meet many of my English friends and hopefully a whole lot from other countries too! Here is the post with the first information: The BASH is BACK! The Second Annual #BloggersBash 2016

Annual Bloggers Bash Is BACK

Joe of Joe Writes His Wrongs posted a wonderful video yesterday! He is released from prison for about two months and it is amazing how hard he is working on his future. He is highly motivated to go through all the challenges and I know that he makes it! No doubt about that. Please check out the video. It is not even 5 minutes!

Thank You

When Carolina, Marissa,  Corinne and I met Carolina gifted all of us with a uniquely created jewelery. She picked each component she used related to the person she made it for. This way each piece has its own meaning. Whenever I think of it, it moves me again deeply how much love she incorporated into each creation. Yesterday she posted about the three creations in Jewelry Designs Meanings and Friendship… turquoise-shell-necklace1a

Another big Thank you goes to Kruti for her effort to meeting me in Dallas and for her lovely gifts! Thank you for your amazing friendship, for your openness, trust, and the love you share with us. You are a gem, dear sister! I am happy and proud to have you in my life!IMG-20151028-WA0012

A huge Thank you goes to Linda and her family. Linda invited me to stay with her in Louisiana and already her excitement about our meeting and my visit touched me a lot. Her hospitality and that lovely welcome by her and each family member is a gift with no money to buy. You, your husband, your sisters, and of course your mother are some of the most loving and cordial people I have ever met in my whole life. That I may call you my friends or even family is an honor and joy I will never be able to express! Thank you!

Sandra of A Momma’s View invited to leave links either of your own blog or posts or of those from other people in order to share them with others. Please take the chance and head over to  Time to Mingle. Thank you, Sandra. This is  such a thoughtful way of supporting and connecting!

And of course: THANK YOU STARBUCKS!!! Not only that we had a wonderful time at your place, I enjoyed your creations for 2 weeks as much as possible! 91324-I-Love-Starbucks-GifAwards

Thank you for 3 awards:

The Respect Award and the Infinity Dream Award from Amaya of Life Of An El Paso Woman

Another Respect Award from Robert Goldstein

New Blogs I Follow

Corinneonline This is the first time I follow a blogger after I met her in person. I did not know Corinne before but I am happy I was introduced to her. She is another amazing woman I am proud of to be connected to and to call my friend.

Sacha Black Sacha is the organizer and founder of the Blogger Bash! If you are interested in the gathering you better follow her to stay informed!

Just a thought

world-friends

Whatever invention and new technology was developed can be used in either way. Although often misused Social Media is a gift go me. The connections and friends from all over the world we make here on WordPress to me still is the vivid vision of how the world could look like: tolerance, respect, support, compassion, acceptance, open minds, sharing, love, peace…! There are millions of WP users. When we are connecting  in the real world we are spanning a net of awareness around the globe. We are role models in displaying and honoring everybody the way they are. We ignite the flame of awareness that together we can make this world a better place and prove that everybody in their unique appearance gives something special and important for the benefit of all, to make this world feel whole, and to make this a humanly place. Let’s prove that peace is not only a wish but an attitude, a state of mind. We are all brothers and sisters! We all want to be loved… so let’s love.
Happy Friday to all of you!

A Two Weeks Review Of Gratitude And Blessings

I heard sceptic voices regarding meeting bloggers in person because of a possible disappointment. My own experience was nothing like that at all. I did not have any expectations about the wonderful people I was going to meet. They already captured my heart for months and I dare to say that we did know each other by heart. That is why it was not necessary that any ice needed to be broken. There simply was no ice. We all embraced each other with arms wide open! We laughed and joked about all the things we were posting about. It truly were meetings between old friends! I am already thinking about my next trip. I will make it an effort that at least once in my life I want to embrace the people I call my friends, brothers, and sisters! Read more ›

Beautiful Memories!

Above the clouds so high

So much time to think back

Of beautiful times with lovely people

Of places I discovered new

Of friendship and heart warming hugs

Of smiles and sunshine

Of vows and gratitude

Of inspiration and love

Is that melancholy I feel?

Yes, sure, it’s there!

It tells me, it was good

And worthwhile to be repeated

Be Thankful!

My wonderful and most thankful blog sis, Ritu of But I Smile Anyway nominated me to participate in one of the most beautiful challenges. I just scheduled a post for one of the Mondays I am not available and it is about Gratitude. Gratitude is the most powerful tool to get centered, detach from burdening circumstances, changes the attitude, and connects with the thins in life we love. In my book I’m Free I dedicated a whole chapter to the subject of Gratitude. That way I feel honored and I am happy that Ritu considered me to participate. Read more ›

My Symbol Of Letting Go

Letting go is a topic in everybody’s life at times. Yesterday I was talking to a friend and I realized that during the past weeks more and more friends are posting about letting go or about their process of letting go. There are so many different reasons or stories behind. May it be about love, about plans we made, about disappointments, being hurt. But in the end we can mostly sum it up to two points: Read more ›

She Let Go… She Embraced… She Is Back…

… stronger than ever before!

I apologize for my short noticed disappearance. There was some turmoil in my private life from one moment to another. The old story about letting go. I will tell you about my experience after A Big Thank You to all of you. I am so moved how much you all cared. I had never ever expected that. Although I closed the comment section on my last post on Monday many of my wonderful friends sensed something and simply commented in the loveliest ways on a different post. Colleen, Ritu, Zee, and Michelle even stayed in touch with me via email. One year ago almost nobody knew me and today people say I was missed and they make the effort to get in touch with me in order to show me that I am loved… that was overwhelming! I am profoundly touched by so much love, compassion, and care. I don’t know how to thank you. I love you all from the deepest bottom of my heart! And believe me, I missed you all badly! It is Easter Sunday, Spring is showing up more and more on the northern part of the globe, and our feelings are starting to bloom according to nature. Today I was looking for a song that meets this expression of a new beginning, of feeling ourselves in a new way, of a breakthrough within ourselves… A song that says THIS IS ME  and I am perfect the way I am. From now on there is no hiding of my light but shining it out into the world. I am who I am! That’s my power, that’s my gift and whoever wants a piece: feel free to take it. Read more ›

Gratitude!

There is no moment in my life even in the saddest or angriest when I am not grateful for the blessings I may have or experience. Friday has been my day for consciously sitting down and making a list of all the wonderful things I encountered the past week. I want to share some points which many of you caused to make this list grow!

I am grateful,

for the huge number of lovely comments on my posts and for the heartfelt replies to my comments.

for every single person who reads my posts.

for all the wonderful new followers of the past week.

for some special friends in my community who honor me every day  with their trust and openness.

for having the opportunity to give what I have to give and that I see it is taken.

for some very special persons I meanwhile can call my close friends – you guys know who I mean.

for Matthew showing up and the time and effort he took to reply and comment, which was a moment of bliss I cannot explain!

for the love that surrounds me whenever I enter the community.

for the inspiration I get through every one of you.

for standing in awe in front of such a huge potential of unique ways you all are sharing your thoughts and feelings.

for the unexpected love I found.

There are so many more things I am grateful for. Once I start, there is more and more coming up. Just know that I am truly grateful and happy just how things are and I to know that I will see some of you this year… Life is good!

My review of 2014!

When the year began I only knew that I would be publishing my first English book. Actually this project defined my whole year. It was an adventure in which I had to overcome a lot of little fears. 5 years ago I promised myself to never let me drive by any fears again and to take the chances I am given which would lead on the path of my dreams. This year I could practice that to no end:

Merry Christmas and Thank You!

Since I was welcomed so lovely and have found a wonderful place here on WordPress I wanted to post a video of me and wanted to say thank you in person. But for some reason I did not figure out how I can make a moving picture AND sound. It was driving me crazy and at some point I had to stop. But I will work on it!

For now I just send you all my most heartfelt embraces. I would have never believed to find friends on a social media platform. I would have never expected to become part of another kind of family.

My number one reason why I love my presence on WordPress:

Exclusive Interview: Erika Kind

Christmas: The Holiday of Love!

Why do I love Christmas so much? I think it is the same reason why most of you (the ones of you who celebrate it of course) might love it. It is this special atmosphere that is lying in the air. This excitement of getting back to feelings and practices of our childhood. The commitment we have a thousand times more than in all the other months of the year, and this certain sensitivity and sensibility.

I know that not everyone feels like that. When you lost a loved one. When you had a tough year or when Christmas means stress because you feel pushed to fulfill expectations or when you are impelled to be with people (family) you tried to avoid throughout the year. Then the holidays might be sad, depressive, stress and frustrating even before they actually started.

Christmas is called the Holiday of Love. We all deserve to feel, experience and therefore give that love. It is the perfect day to get aware that love is all we have to give in the end. If we want to live in peace we have to develop a sense of love for our outside world. We have to develop a sense of love in order to fill ourselves with love. We have to develop a sense of love to find ways to celebrate this love with others and give away this most precious gift.

Whatever we experienced throughout the year. Make peace with it. Get aware that life means more than struggle and competition. Life is development and mutual support. And the greatest power for that comes out of love. We yearn for it , wish for it, search for it – like the one next to us, like the homeless, like the child that has to spend Christmas at the hospital, like that relative who might have bothered you in the past. Take all your anger, frustration and disappointment and decide consciously to celebrate the Holiday of Love. Transform all your anger and be willing to fill yourself with love in order to spend the most fulfilling Christmas ever. If you cannot forgive and just wait for the first “wrong” comment, you punish yourself.

Here are some tips how you can fill your heart with love and satisfaction:

Do something good. Buy a homeless a hot meal. Let someone go in front of you when you are standing in line. Put some cookies anonymously in front of a person’s door in order to show that someone cares.

Simplify the holidays, don’t stress yourself out in order to not be totally exhausted and angry.

Be grateful for the fact that there are people around you that care for you and thank for the chance to give something back at this special time of the year.

Consciously hug the ones you have been struggling with and get aware that they also have an important supportive place in your life. Wish them a Merry Christmas and mean it.

Don’t look out for tensions you expect like “every year” but decide to fill yourself with love, decide to let everybody be who he is, decide to have fun and enjoy like you never enjoyed it before, decide to spread good vibrations, and decide to make everybody feel welcome in your surrounding.

In Love and Light!

In Aging we show our True Colors!

It was a warm and sunny day. Although it was almost mid-October we wore t-shirts most of the time. It was a beautiful day.

As I began to love myself…

I just stumbled again over these beautiful words. Charles Chaplin delivered this speech on his 70th birthday. Probably you all know it already. But every time I read it, it moves me! It goes so deep and leaves me with wet eyes all the time. So much wisdom and experience are lying in these words, reminding us that we can lift the curtain of illusion in order to find the beauty, love, and all the answers we have been looking for.

Therefore it is full of forgotten and long-suppressed feelings that finally found their outlet again. This poem is also part of my book Enjoy Life! If you like this poem or know someone you’d like to share it with…. please do it!
