Have a wonderful time, feel the spirit, feel the love, and take care.

Side-note: I will take a break for the coming two weeks. I will dedicate the coming days to being with my family, working on the financial statements for my business, preparing and organizing new ideas for my business, and continuing working on my book. I will check on your posts from time to time, and only be posting spontaneously or not at all.

#SongTuesday – Xmas Edition

For the last Song Tuesday before Christmas, I chose a very atmospheric song performed by a fantastic band. Their talent and way of creating their songs make every Christmas song a special experience.

#JustAThought… When the Lights Return

QuoteFancy.com

About ten days ago, we turned on the Christmas lights around the house. Every year, this is a moment I wait for impatiently. At this time of year, these lights do something to me – and I mean Christmas lights in general. They make me smile, bring back the child in me, take me back to cozy and soothing December evenings when the kids were little, or remind me of lovely times at Christmas markets.
In summary: They warm my heart and support it to open up.

#RomanicTuesday Song

Why not going with some Christmas love songs to fit the holiday season? Yes, Mariah Carey, but not the one song you may expect (I am a bit fed up with that one). It is a bit more on the melancholic side but beautiful anyway. Not everybody can celebrate Christmas together. Life has its own mind at times, and most of all this year, it is even more difficult. But regardless of how life looks today, we are working on a better tomorrow, don’t we? And that should lift our spirit to make it through!

Christmas is a place in our hearts.JPG

Merry Christmas
Blessings and Peace
To you and your loved ones

May the Spirit of Christmas
Shine from you
And reach everybody’s heart
You encounter

May the Spirit of Christmas
Break the walls
Of hatred, ignorance, and selfishness
May borders disappear
And the world become one colorful country

May the Spirit of Christmas
Stay with us
Not only for this day
But forever

In Love and Light

Hello everyone,

October is almost over, time goes fast! Soon we would be approaching the Holidays Season!

Today post is the special release of my “Holidays ART Collection” including a special offer please read the whole post.

I think this is the best time to release the Winter Holidays Collection which is now available as Open Edition Signed Mini Prints. Last year I have created a series of Holidays themed watercolor paintings. The Series was a success and I had many compliments and requests, but cause timing last year this Series has never been released or sold as prints, because by the time it was completed, was already December and late for selling prints. I decided to plan the release earlier for this year Holidays Season! Right now the time is right…

The Magic of Christmas 💖

I guess you all agree that Christmas is the time of year when we are more receptive for sharing love and compassion, for lending hands and being more tolerant than at any other time of the year. Although  the hectic of finding our way through overcrowded stores and getting the last Christmas gifts just in time can be very stressful. But let’s leave that out for a moment and just concentrate on the meaning of Christmas. Read more ›

Christmas Trees Around The World

Colleen of Silver Threading had the lovely idea of sharing Christmas trees. This afternoon we decorated our tree. Most of the decoration still is from our time in Buffalo. Over time we added this or that and homemade decorations. But I always stuck with the classic colors red, green, and gold. We still hang ornaments the kids made in school and chocolate. Very important to me is the tinsel. Read more ›

For now I just send you all my most heartfelt embraces. I would have never believed to find friends on a social media platform. I would have never expected to become part of another kind of family.

Christmas Market in Feldkirch (Austria)

This afternoon/evening we went to the traditional Christmas market in the historic center of Feldkirch in Austria. This city is only about a 15 minutes drive away from us. Before my parents moved to Liechtenstein with us we lived around that area.

Christmas Market in Lindau (Germany)

First of all I apologize that I wasn’t able to read and react to your posts over the weekend. We had problems with our internet connection. Thank God I already scheduled my regular posts for this week. Anyway, internet is back and I am happy to share our weekend event with you.

On Saturday my husband, my mom and I went to one of our favorite Christmas Markets in Lindau. The city lies at the lake Constance. The market is located right at the historic harbor. It is a beautiful scenery. Although there were more people than we ever experienced we enjoyed it more than ever. We really love it. Also about in the middle we always stop and enjoy a hot punc, a hot chocolate or a hot spiced wine. Read more ›

Visiting St. Nikolaus

In Central Europe we have a tradition. On December 6 we celebrate St. Nikolaus. On that day kids are visited at home from St. Nikolaus and his helper Krampus. Nikolaus is reading in his big golden book where everything is noted down what the kids did good and less good. Also Nikolaus gives the kids a bag with treats and little presents (prepared in advance by the parents). That’s the classic way.

For a view years now we have “The Nikolaus in the woods”. Last weekend we visited our Nikolaus again. We used to go with our three kids, but meanwhile it is the seconed time that my husband and I are fostering this tradition. Therefore we need to take a walk into the woods not far away from where we live. Read more ›

Christmas feeling!

Today I thought I share some photos of our decoration. It got less during the last 2 years. I used to put everything I had somewhere. But I was so tired of taking half a day to put everything away after Christmas. That’s why I have a selected choice of lights and decoration items. All my decorations are home-made (except the Advent wreath). I love that nostalgic kind of decoration. I saw that the photos are not of such a good quality. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

I also took pics from the outside. But they did not work out at all. Have to ask my husband to take them. He knows better about the settings of the camera.
