Be Authentic – Be You – Be Love!

Actually, I planned to post another article according to a request of a blogger friend for this Monday.  I hope you don’t mind that I changed my mind. A lot of things happened during the past few days and it made me spontaneously write this post:

Life isn’t about being someone we think we should be only because it sounds good, because others want us to be, or in order to fit into a certain image of society. A faked personality only confuses the people around you and yourself over time more and more because the real identity gets lost. Even when you feel misunderstood try even harder to be who you are because only that has the real power that makes your own true light shine and which bring the blessings in our life we wish so hard for. Life is about developing and expanding yourself.

I love that quote from our recently passed Dr. Dyer. However, I am treated doesn’t automatically mean there is something wrong with me. It might only be something wrong with the way another person sees me because that is always subjective. As long as I stay with myself and react in a way that fits me, I am on track. Trying to fit into an image of others in order to find acceptance, respect, and most of all love will take the ground I stand on. Things will come my way I don’t know how to deal with because I have no feeling for them – it is not part of me! That confuses me even more and after a while, I might think something is wrong with me which makes me act even more opposite to who I am. But actually, I only lost the connection to that being within me with which everything is completely right.

Being spiritual means understanding that our true existence is eternal life energy. Again as Wayne Dyer said: We are not human beings in search of a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings emersed in a human experience. Living spiritually means that we are aware of our true being inside that body and understand why we are here. We are here to explore that life, to explore different roles in our lives. I always like to compare it with a movie. We choose a role in this lifetime. We are actors and co-actors. And we are allowed to create stories: Dramas, comedies, romances, horror stories, thrillers,… and we even can have it all in one lifetime. We are here to experience this life in all its depth with all its feelings and with all its lessons. And therefore we need to be authentic and stand to our inner demons and to the illusion we call truth. Because that leads us to our destinations throughout this lifetime. The more authentic we are the more insightful every destination will become.

Living like a saint feels boring to me. This life has too much in store for me to be explored and to be felt in all its depth. Being spiritual means being aware of this and at the same time being aware of the blissful, precious being I am, and of being loved at all times of my existence. I only exist right because I am loved. Love is the origin of all existence (as I wrote about last week).  That means what you truly are definitely is spotless energy of light and love. At the moment it lives in a physical body in order to explore a physical life and gain experience.

When you are aware of who you are then you automatically know and feel the connection with all that is and with this certain love which already and always is within you. You will probably change your attitude and your point of view and this will change your life dramatically. You not only understand your existence but also come to understand the existence of everybody else and don’t take everything too personally anymore. You will feel more love and understanding. But you also will start to live this life to the fullest. You will follow your dreams since you know that you have come here to do it. You will be happy in a way you never knew it before – happy as basic condition of yourSelf!  Being you leads you to more and faster insights. Being you unleash the divine power within you.

Only when you are authentic you are open to the spiritual being within you. It doesn’t mean you are a saint but it makes you experience this life in a completely different way. Who you really are is sacred – however path you walk in order to figure that out.

Be authentic – Be You – Be Love!

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

I think the reason why it is so hard to just be yourself and not try to fit into a image other’s have created for us, is because it’s a very thin line between both. It can blurry and confusing sometimes too truly know who you are. It’s a human nature wanting to be “Liked” or “loved” so we try to present ourselves in a way that is acceptable to others? Even if that means turning away from our true selves?

But I agree that once you learn to get comfortable in your own skin and surround yourself with people who love you for who you are, it can be liberating ! Contentment with yourself at it’s best ! ^.^

That is exactly the point, Zee. It is in our nature that we want to be loved. And that is the big problem when we don’t feel loved we try everything to be loved. Because love is our basic need. The problem is that the more we try to be someone who might be loved the less we are loved for who we are. It is difficult, been there and of course I fall into it at times again. You are right that there is a thin line between both. In the end we will find to the point where we start realizing who we are NOT! Because everything that feels against us is what we are not. And that way we can piece by piece unveil ourselves again. It is not easy. But a way to gain back our own strength.

So true, it’s frightening to think that you can lose yourself wholly trying to please someone else or to be accepted. I really liked the idea of unveiling ourselves piece by piece, one step at a time. It was a marvelous post to read Erika! Well done! 🙂 ❤

It always makes me happy when I see that someone benefits from my writings. When it is such a beautiful and lovely soul like you then it is the greatest reward I could get. I am glad we are connected – as I said it before. Just know, whenever you want you can also send me a direct message. Big hugs, Zee and much love! 🙂

“Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.” Some say this was a quote from Oscar Wilde, other debate its source. Either way, wise words. If you try to be anything else, it will show up sooner or later. Nice post, Erika. ❤️

That is very true, Van! I think we can never be completely authentic since we always develop and discover new things about ourselves. But it is to be honest with ourselves and what we truly feel about us. Thank you, Van, I so appreciate your words 💖

Erika, great post and quoting Emerson and Dyer embellish your point. Even Mother Teresa had doubts, but she would pray each night for strength to help people. So, we should do the best we can to be authentic and treat others like you want to be treated. We can only control our reaction, so we should not give that power away and let others bother us when they do not act as expected. Have a great week, Keith

You said that wonderfully, Keith. Thank you! It actually is only about treating others they way we want to be treated. And yes, everybody has doubts. That’s ok because it makes us look deeper into ourselves and perhaps unveil another layer in order to discover another beautiful piece of ourselves. 🙂

I can honestly say I agree with you here. I can’t pretend to live like a saint and as the world see’s a saint it would be boring (I think a real saint would be very unpopular) but then who can? I find the simples places are the most spiritual, the sea, on top of a mountain, normally the place where not many people go. It’s where I can kind of re-charge. Thanks for writing this 🙂
