After almost four years, it was yesterday again that I met a blogger friend of WordPress. Erika and I (this is not a mistake, we both are Erikas) have been following each other for about five years. After a while, we found out that we live almost around the corner from each other. So, yesterday we made it happen. It took me only 25 minutes to reach Erika Laufer of Lauferei.com in her beautiful Swiss village close to Lake Walen.
Today is the last holiday of the past Christmas season (Epiphany). Traditionally, it is the last day of the school break, and many companies over here are closed until this day due to the many holidays and weekends between Christmas Eve and January 6th. It is also the day when many remove their Christmas decorations and Christmas trees.
My vacation is over and since yesterday, I am back at work. As you could tell from my posts, I took a few trips. The rest of the time, I spent catching up and preparing as much as possible because I will be extremely busy in the coming 5 – 6 weeks. That is also the reason why I could only visit you rarely despite my holidays. Unfortunately, it will continue like that for the next time. There are losts of posts scheduled for this and next week. But after that please don’t be surprised if my posts appear irregularly or not at all. By mid-September, at the latest (I hope) everything will slowly return to normal.
Neha published favorite blogs around the world. I am thrilled that my blog is on their list, along with other blogs that are among my favorites. A big thank you for this honor goes to Maria of Ladysag77 who nominated me and to Neha! Hop over and take a look!
Thank you to all who followed the rules and shared your favorite blogs in this around-the-world edition of my fav blog list. I have done this since the beginning of my blogging journey and hope to continue doing it whenever I get time to highlight some of the amazing talents we have here. These bloggers have put in their creative energy to create some wonderful blogs whether in lifestyle, photography, poetry or combination of many. I will list the nominees and the nominators below, sharing their own words (some of them are my personal favs as well!) followed by a few of my favorites both old and new (in no particular order)! I wanted to showcase how connected we all are from around the globe in this journey, especially during these times where many are feeling isolated. You definitely did not disappoint in your nominations…between the nominees and…
What an Easter Surprise😃 Without making a big fuss about it, Sylvester published his 8th book today. As he says in his post, it is not just a new poetry book. It is rather a collection of inspirational thoughts about what a soul encounters during its journey down here. Sylvester put it in the form of quotes, texts, and poems too. Curious? Well, I certainly am! That’s why my copy has already been ordered. And what about you?
Please head over to his blog for learning more about his book, how to order, the story behind, and last but not least, to congratulate him!
“If you speak from the heart and spirit, you will touch more than the ears, you will reach the soul.” -Syl
My writing journey has taken a lot of twists and turns. I am so very thankful to be blessed with the gift to write and create with words. I published my first poetry collection eight years ago which was a journey in itself, realizing a dream come true. Since then I have published several other collections.
Now I am thankful to present my latest book Soul Waves. This marks a change in my presentation style. There are poems, thoughts, and quotes sprinkled in. As my writing journey continues I become more aware of the purpose for my writing.
Thank you to all of you here in the WordPress community that have inspired me through your blogs, interactions, the smiles and laughs shared, an all the heartfelt comments.
When I was thinking about what I could write, I was distracted by a junk-email. While deleting it, my view went over the many folders of my inbox. One of those holds some very precious emails of a blogger who became a dear friend on WordPress. It was touching and deeply moving to read those emails again after 5 years.
Most of you who follow my blogs have seen me mention a Global Meditation that is to take place on April 4th and 5th, 2020.
I can tell you in my own words how I perceive the power of thousands of humans coming together at the same time with the same intention of raising the vibration of a planet that is in crisis, but what I want to do instead is share this link as I cannot say it any better than this.
I think all of us make good use of some distractions from the current #1 theme. Why not sharing something funny, uplifting or beautiful (at least) once a week. It can be a joke, a picture with a beautiful view from the area you live or a place you like a lot, a song, a video, a story or whatever comes to your mind. It only needs to be positive with only positive words. I picked Wednesday for me because it is my guest quote/community day anyway. Who would like to join in (on a Wednesday or any other day of the week)?
Two of our fellow bloggers released their second books lately. And both of their first books were poetry books. Now, with their latest works, they have something else in common: Both fulfilled themselves a dream with their preferred genre.
A lot of you know our lovely Lynn. And those who don’t… why? Oh, perhaps because she was not very present for the past year. But you know what? She is back with the best explanation ever about her absence. Silently and humble, as she is, she was working on her cookbook.
A few weeks ago, Irene of IreneDesign2011, posted a pair of Apatite earrings which immediately attracted my attention. The color of those stones was so beautiful and in some way, I felt the energy of the stone coming right through. After asking Irene this and that about the stone regarding its effects and pondering about a fitting necklace I decided to order the earrings.
My dear blog sister, Ritu of But I Smile Anyway, tagged me to take part in this wonderful challenge. Although, I have not even had time to go for my own regular posts this week, how could I resist a quote challenge? Most of all when invited by my sis. So thank you very much for tagging me, Ritu! HOLIDAYS ART SPECIAL SERIES
– Open Edition Signed Mini Prints and Sets –
The Shiniest Star – Robin
October is almost over, time goes fast! Soon we would be approaching the Holidays Season!
Today post is the special release of my “Holidays ART Collection” including a special offer please read the whole post.
I think this is the best time to release the Winter Holidays Collection which is now available as Open Edition Signed Mini Prints. Last year I have created a series of Holidays themed watercolor paintings. The Series was a success and I had many compliments and requests, but cause timing last year this Series has never been released or sold as prints, because by the time it was completed, was already December and late for selling prints. I decided to plan the release earlier for this year Holidays Season! Right now the time is right…
Yep it’s time to get free and all oozy and generous.
There have been some whispers, little rumours sussurating slowly, hissing in the background like a sack of snakes mainlining salt and vinegar crisps but now, here they are…
I’m offering my first three books (Kindle version) for free, nothing, zip, nada… as follows
DEAD FLIES AND SHERRY TRIFLE

Here is a review
In the summer of 1976 Harry Spittle aged nineteen, heads home for the summer after his first year at university. Harry seems prone to crisis from the beginning – bullying from fellow student Stephen Mc Noble who soon befriends Harry’s ex girlfriend, working in the local hotel with a diverse group of characters, and facing a bullying chef, entering a world of drug dealing, diamond smuggling and petty village gardening competitiveness… However, Harry’s main focus in life…

As I announced a few weeks ago, I need to take a break for a few weeks due to my move and also to the inevitable internet interruption. Probably I won’t be posting until May 7. But whenever I have the chance I will be visiting at least because I’ll miss you guys.
YAY!! The moment has come and we are presented the nominees for the Annual Bloggers Bash Awards.
I am totally excited that I have been nominated for the third time. I feel so honored and I thank everyone who nominated me and therefore considered me worthwhile to receive the Most Inspirational Blogger Award. This already makes me a winner. But however, I think I don’t need to mention how much I appreciate every vote for my blog.
But I am also excited that some of my closest blogger buddies are under the nominees as well. So please, head over to Sacha’s and leave your vote for your favorite blog/blogger in various categories! Absolutely exciting 😃
My laptop broke down this morning. Thank God, all posts are already scheduled for the coming week. But until I have a new laptop and have it set up my ability to reply to comments and read your posts will be consicerably restricted.
I want to thank you all for the kindness, compassion, support, love, comfort, inspiration, wisdom that is shared every single day. Whatever one of us shares is a blessing for everyone. It makes us think, strikes the necessary cords to stand up and get something going, confirms, or unites in the feeling that is created. We find and develop sides in ourselves we had not thought were there or we dare to open up to aspects of ourselves which were hidden for so long. Read more ›
This is the time of the year when we are feeling stronger and when we are more aware of the blessings and wonders around us. One of those wonders is the wonderful family I found here on WordPress. There are no words to describe how deeply Robert’s act of kindness and thoughtfulness touched me. I forward and dedicate Robert’s wonderful lines with the meaningful symbol of that beautiful rose on top to everyone… Love and Light to all 💖

When I saw the topic I thought immediately of an older post in which I shared a poem about Letting Go. Letting Go is not only releasing something that weighed heavily and kept you from living. The process itself is a progress in your own development and growth. It means you have already grown bigger than the suffocating cocoon. That’s why you are ready to break its shell. Letting Go is a process of becoming! Read more ›

I haven’t been much around lately and I am sorry that I could not visit most of my friends during the past days. My life was hectic on all ends. But today is a special day because I am off to Chicago in order to meet some of my blog buddies and I will be off until the end of next week. That means no regular posts until Monday, September 4th. I will for sure drop in at times, check my comments, and visit my blogily. For now, I leave you with Enrique’s dad and an 80’s classic (here he comes, Sue 😉). Read more ›

Our Mr. Poetry just published his 6th book (and second only e-book): “The Sevens”
I am a bit of a numbers freak… hehe. When you publish a book called “The Sevens”, filled with 7-liners, and you publish it in the 7th month of the year 17 then it is definitely meant to reach the reader at exactly the point he needs it. 7 is the spiritual number. I already found many poems which went straight to my heart and I am sure there is the one meant for you!

For today’s prompt, I went a little emotional. The relationship with my father was not an easy one. Don’t get me wrong, he did everything that we never had to miss anything. He was very demanding and dominant. But it taught me a lot and meanwhile I benefit a lot from it. I often hear him inside of me for example when I get cool in difficult situations. But I also know that many of the things I do freely today would have caused a lot of discussions. His life was not easy at all and as his daughter and also chief secretary for many years I got to know him from many sides. Although I did not accept all his behavior I could accept him the ways he was and did not take things personally anymore. It was him not me. When he died unexpectedly from sudden heart death I could not even say goodbye. But I was at peace with him, no score to settle.
It was 4 weeks before he died that I started working on the song below “Wish You Were Here”. I had never thought at that time that I would dedicate it to my father. Here it is:
This is the day of the year again when we all reflect. We look back to where we were and where we are today, to the things we wanted to accomplish and perhaps didn’t but also to those achievements we did not expect to develop or happen one year ago. But however, this year was surely filled with so many aspects that make life life: ups and downs, insights, endings and beginnings, success and … less successful results. But whatever happened throughout the year, it all made us more complete. Our development progressed and we are further and wiser than ever before! Read more ›
That may sound strange but I am talking about Carolina’s beautiful painting Broken from her InkTober 2016 collection. I ordered her artwork from day 9 and it is simply beautiful. But it is not only the painting itself which made me smile and warmed my heart. It is her way of creating a lovely energy around it. As you see it on the picture, she packed it surrounded with beautiful messages, an official certificate, a thoughtful card, and a lovely dedication on the backside of the painting. This is typically Carolina. Whatever she does, she does with all her heart and that is what we feel when we see any of her creations. If you don’t know her blog yet then please head over to YesterdayAfter.
Thank you so much for your lovely way and for your friendship, Carolina!

Some time ago, I shared a video of the Dalai Lama on Facebook. That video felt like a perfect follow-up to my post We Need To Heal The Cause – Not The Symptoms! The Dalai Lama talked about religions and terrorism. He stated what burns in all the hearts of faithful people. It is not the religion that makes terrorists. It is the fanatic idea of power that misuses religion for terroristic acts.
Dalai Lama: Religious violence: “Once you are involved in bloodshed you are no longer a genuine practitioner of Islam”. (This video is only 1 minute.)
All religions were created in order to spread the message of love. They have the use of keeping people grounded, teaching God’s (whatever God) words and reminding them that there is more in and about life than we might see with our physical eyes. Each religion may have its own rules and ways of how to reach God’s realm which may or may not fit for the individual. But the bottom line is that we all are brothers and sisters. Each religion teaches about compassion and respect for every being. A true man of God even respects other religious ways and practices because their general goal is the well-being of the soul and not to force others into one particular religion. No, not religion creates terrorists! Men create terrorists! Don’t pre-judge any religion only because there are some who misunderstood the message. Those are found in every religion. Mostly those are – as I said it in my other post – the ones who feel isolated. Instead of finding hold and reconnect with their spirits they use it as a tool of power.
Over the centuries the name of God was abused to justify the oppression and dictation of races, other cultures, and other religions. It was abused to justify wars. The meaning of religion got lost – the path to God. God is love – only love. Love never kills but supports life. Love never oppresses but puts the other one first. Love never judges but respects and honors the difference everybody brings into this world. May it be Mohammed, Jesus, or others, they all talked about compassion. They never left anyone out. As Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” He did not mean little kids but the children of God that we are. He did not mean to convert them towards Christianity but to simply share God’s love which is all we need to feel the love within ourselves. When we feel the love within ourselves we are at peace with what is. That way we see that we all are one family. We see that we are coming from the same source and that differences are only in the outer appearance. Other than that we all bring something along that is for the benefit of everyone. Together we have all the abilities we need to make this life a complete experience, working hand in hand, sharing the gift of life, help each other to grow through our mutual inspiration, and spreading the nutrition of life – love!
I am not considering myself as part of any religion (anymore). But that is not because I am against religion. It is because there are “truths” I simply cannot agree with (first and foremost I am talking here about Catholicism). Then again I find so many wonderful teachings and truths in so many religions. That again shows me that all religions are generating from one message and are leading to one goal – Love! I created my own religion from all I feel like a truth from many different religions. All those truths are complementing each other and the picture I create from it is making sense to me. I think what really matters is that we do believe at all in something. That life is more about than only struggling through this physical lifetime. Even if you don’t believe that there is a greater force of unlimited wisdom then at least believe in yourself. That is already enough. Because all you need to know lies within you anyway!
As long as the interpretation of what we believe in is love, nobody cares about religious differences anyway!
After I did my award post for the Healer’s Award, Sue of Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary asked me to accept her Drumbeat award. This is another big honor for me! Thank you very much for considering me for this amazing award, Sue. Here is what she writes about the rules to be nominated: Read more ›
A week ago Nicodemas honored me in awarding me with the Healer’s Award. An award he created and made me the first nominee. As I said in my award post everyone here and in general has a healing effect. Even the ones who are giving us a hard time. Because they are pushing us to places we would not have gone without their behavior. Anyway, Nicodemas asked me to nominate who I think should receive this award in particular. I will do this now and pick 4 more friends (I already nominated Nicodemas) who are dedicating their blogs to healing and awareness.
As you know there are no rules to follow: Just nominate those bloggers who promote hope, healing, and reconciliation. You can use the photo above (cherry blossoms), or any image of flowers, which can be a wonderful symbol of hope and renewal!
I know that most of you are not participating in awards. But I want to say how much I honor and appreciate what you are doing for the sake of everyone. You all have experienced life and its challenges in a depth many cannot even imagine. But you all were growing even stronger and that is the healing we feel in all you are sharing with us. Thank you!
My dear friend, Nicodemas of Ancient Skies created a new award for our amazing community. If there has ever been an award that touched my very soul then it is this one! You need to know that Nicodemas doesn’t participate in awards but his big heart and the wish for supporting love and healing in this world made him create this one with the most beautiful message. Nicodemas definitely got to know how precious life is when he almost lost the most important meaning in his life. When you read his poems and whatever he shares this appreciation and gratitude for life and all that makes life shine through and leave a light inside of the reader. Receiving this award (even as the first one) from a person like Nicodemas whom I appreciate a lot right because of his way of sharing so much love, positivity, and awareness is overwhelming in the most wonderful way. This is another completely new award to me. Thank you very much, Dear Kitty, for nominating me. I appreciate it very much because the meaning of this award is a very lovely one . This is what the award is about: “This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.” – EllaRead more ›

Last week I wrote about love as so much more than only a feeling. I was most inspired by the Charity point and my thoughts went with a particular aspect of that love that connects us and everything in a magical yet natural way. This connection has much more meaning than we might think and we often underestimate the advantage, the obligations, and the responsibility that comes with the decision of being part of this global community. As many of you know, today was my first day in my job as a desk clerk and customer adviser in a new business and competence center. Actually, there was not a lot that could have gone wrong so far.
