I think all of us make good use of some distractions from the current #1 theme. Why not sharing something funny, uplifting or beautiful (at least) once a week. It can be a joke, a picture with a beautiful view from the area you live or a place you like a lot, a song, a video, a story or whatever comes to your mind. It only needs to be positive with only positive words. I picked Wednesday for me because it is my guest quote/community day anyway. Who would like to join in (on a Wednesday or any other day of the week)?

Recently I already posted some photos of the surroundings of my house. I thought, why not start this here with a photo showing something of the area of my second home? It shows the Glen falls in Williamsville, only minutes away from where we lived during our year in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY. A few times, I came here with my daughter (she was only 3 at that time). Later my second child and first son joined us for some walks. Ok, the ladies were walking and the young man was driven 👶

Great idea, Erika. Reading too many blog posts about COVID-19 affected my mood. It was all the doom and gloom in them. It also influenced my writing. Since I stopped reading any blog post that is COVID-19 related, my spirits have lifted, and I’ve begun writing again. Plus, like you, I’ve been trying to spread some laughter and happiness with some of my blog posts.
That water looks crisp and refreshing. What a beautiful place to sit, think and spend some time.

I so hear you, Hugh. There is enough information we need to pay attention regarding the situation but other than that I want to look at the bright side of life. I enjoyed your latest posts a lot, maybe right because they are so different to most of the posts which are published lately. Here is to laughter and good feelings 😊

Imagine that waterfall at your back door now. I’m a water person and live across the road from a lake. It is grounding, serene and just has such beautiful energy dear lady. If I have to stay here, I’m glad to 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

How lucky you are. I am a water person too, a creek, a lake , the ocean, a water fall. What I love most is sitting and gazing at the ocean, absorbing the whole atmosphere. Water is so inspiring, clearing, and delivering.
I loved going there and also to the bigger brothers at Niagara Falls. Thank you, Mark 😊

Erika, nice thought and pictures. I don’t recall that it is outside of Buffalo where you lived. I knew you were here, but it is nice to have a picture of where you enjoyed some respite. Thanks for sharing. Keith

It is 22 years ago that we lived there. It was a wonderful time and I am so so happy I was granted to have it. I will share more pictures of the surrounding over time. For example, the Niagara Falls. My pleasure to share, Keith. It brings back such wonderful feelings and the “yearning” to go back for a visit.

Erika, my youngest son went to RIT in Rochester for a semester. We took the chance to see the falls. Amazing. Keith

They are beautiful. I stopped counting how often I went there. And still, I miss them so much.

Oh nature, how I have loved it all of my life. During this time of more solitude around the globe, I love just sitting in my backyard and gazing at it. What a wonderful picture, I can hear the water flowing and how soothing it is. Upstate NY is such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing Erika🙏❤😁

I definitely will! I was going to write a post today anyways😉
Since you posted about a time and place in your life that was special, it has inspired me to post about the last house I rented in RI from 2010-2012. I think that cottage is my favorite home so far. Thank you for the inspiration 😁❤🙏

A great idea sis, as many of us are getting ‘bored’ of hearing everything, all the time. We need distractions, you’re right xx

I agree, sis, it is tiring and we only focus on the unwanted that way. I truly seem to be distracted since this post is one day too early… lol! Although I am still going to work when even restricted, I seem to be confused with the days or dates🤪
