Mucking Out

Hi, friends. For quite a while, I have been watching the number that shows the already used GB. The distance until I reached my limit already got pretty narrow. So, I had the choice between upgrading or limiting my media library. I decided to go for the second option, although it was the one that was pretty time-consuming.

However, I thought it was a good (and long overdue) opportunity to sort out the posts of my first years here on WordPress. A lot changed in my blogging habits, and some posts don’t fit me anymore anyway. I took the easy way and deleted more or less everything that was not a Monday post until June 2018. Wow, that’s four years and half of my blogging time. I still don’t understand why I only got 1 GB down. But at least it provides some room again to post freely for a while again.

I thought I’d let you know, although I don’t think one of you starts scrolling back further than June 2018.

Good luck, Erika. I did this last year and it takes time, juggling and lots of deep breaths. I ended up deleting all ten years of my old blog. I read the old posts and they mapped my changes, yet I am still changing and not that person anymore. Much ❤ flowing to you. xXx

You say it, Jane. We change, and it is necessary to keep our blogs aligned with who we are today (if the direction some posts took is too far away from today’s path). I should have done this a lot earlier. However, I am doing it now…lol.
