To receive the best inspiration I felt like picking a card from my favorite deck of Gateway Oracle Cards by Denis Linn. The card I picked is the one above. The year is still very young, and this card appears as a fantastic message to start it. Dream big and dare to expect the impossible to happen.
Life is indeed THE tool to realize who we are, who we can be, or who we can become from who we are. The instruments to explore life are unlimited. There is a tool for everyone in every possible situation and for every possible point they are in their lives. The tools create themselves out of the situation in harmony with what is around us, our state of awareness, and the state we want to reach.
How is it that beautiful memories can make you cry? Even though all the people involved are still with you. When I listened to the song I am sharing tomorrow, suddenly, I was taken back to our Christmas in Williamsville, Buffalo. A string of single moments appeared, and I felt the joy again of spending these days with our little daughter. Just the three of us. A time when new traditions were born.
All of you, who have been following me for a while, know that this blog is not about me, but about the person who visits it. The origin of this blog is my book “I’m Free”. That was even the starting point of my social media presence in general. So my breakthrough experience wrapped in a book led me here. You can read about it here if you like and on my about page. I’m happy to have this blog as a platform to spread inspiration and hopefully some awareness as much as I can. Visitors to my blog are not interested in what I did or did not have for breakfast or how often my tortoise burps. Neither do I feel the need to know every small detail about other people’s private lives. Social media is flooded with this kind of stuff already anyway. So, I won’t ever bother you with that kind of information – promised! Still, I thought it was time to share a little bit about my life aside from blogging.
Have you ever had this weird feeling of nervosity? I mean, you wake up in the morning and, for no apparent reason, you are nervous. Then it’s not long before something happens to confirm the inexplicable nervousness. Something like this has happened to me several times. Suddenly I have this strange feeling, and it won’t go away. I then wonder what is wrong with me until something occurs that exactly matches the feeling. It seems like the order has been reversed. As if the emotional reaction to a future event has been brought forward.
I don’t know about you, but I am one of those who tend to push themselves to always have a solution at hand. It may have to do with the desire to help others and to be in control of life. It may also have to do with trained pressure to perform if you were constantly under the expectation to deliver the best results.
We hear it so often that we should enjoy life, not put anything off, let our soul unfold and follow the call of the heart. There are commitments, yes, but not all of them are real commitments. Many we do out of habit, even though times and circumstances have changed and the reason we took them on no longer even exists. We sometimes need to stop and examine how we are actually filling life. Is it only filled or is it also felt?
I recently enjoyed a singing bowl treatment. If you’ve never had one, you wouldn’t believe what it can do to your body and soul. Before the treatment, we always talk about whether I have any specific requests regarding the outcome. I usually tell her to just do what she feels is necessary. I want to keep my head out of it and let happen what needs to happen. But last time, I wanted her to consistently follow up on any blocks she finds. I told her that I am so tired of a reflexive resistance arising in me when it comes to things that are ridiculous and that lock me up inside. This automatic resistance keeps me from expanding, and I’m so tired of working against it, which only causes more resistance. I said I wanted to be transparent and permeable. After the treatment (which was very effective), she said, resistance is not necessarily a bad thing but rather an intuitive reaction to not letting it all in. That got me thinking.

On a sidenote: This quote was created before I wrote my post #JustAThought… The Moment of Enlightenment. I just thought it goes along with it so well. It is a journey to get closer to the idea of who we really are. But real understanding may only happen after the journey was concluded.
I often mention that I am writing my posts quite a while ahead to make sure that I am having them ready even when something gets in my way. What amazes me very often is the fact that so many readers say, how timely the post was for them and probably would not have touched anything in them if it was published right away.
“We have always done it that way. You cannot make money with what you would like to do. You don’t have the money to do it. You have to stick with our kind. It is the tradition. It is the culture. The family won’t let me.”
Everybody has their backpacks to carry. Some people are unpacking freely, every stumble, fall, burden, or point on their agenda while others don’t feel the need to bless the world with the details of their private lives. However, only because someone doesn’t invite the world into their living rooms doesn’t mean their backpack is empty. Not at all!
Basically, when asked, everybody knows for themselves what really matters in their lives (most of all those who were already reminded through life). Taking a serious look at our lives we distance pretty soon from luxury problems which cause us to complain reflexively. Who cares about a closed gate or standing at a red light, a rainy day or a missed bus when you consciously think about the meaning. Those things are temporary “problems” which mostly don’t have a deeper impact on the future. Read more ›

On a side note: I am preparing quote and images independently from scheduling them. Usually, I am having a bunch of quotes in my folder and then pick blindly those to schedule. My Thursday quote is one of my archives. Only when I was about to schedule this one I noticed how well it fits the one I scheduled for yesterday. First I thought, I need to exchange one but then I decided to leave it since it actually makes a great sequel. Thanks for leading me, Universe!
Lately, I thought about change and development. It happens that people you have known your whole life don’t appear the same anymore. It is getting harder to get along with them or it goes better, all of a sudden. But is it really them? Read more ›
Over the past 1 1/2 years and especially during the last 6 to 8 months I have experienced not only what power our thoughts have but also how fast and reflexively they can influence our feelings and emotions. Nothing may have happened but a simple thought can change the mood instantly. Read more ›
Everybody has their dark spots, their quirks, their challenges, their achievements, their successes, their joys, and their weak spots. Some people act in their quirks and with that can hit another person’s weak spot. Sometimes it is not even easy to say what exactly it was that brought inner turmoil to the other one. It may be a change in the energy of the counterpart which makes the said things feel differently. And maybe only those two persons feel it. Now, what to do? Read more ›
I think we all agree that probably the only constant in life is change. Whether we want it or not, whether we provoke it or not. Change is the mother of development. It constantly gives birth to new occasions and possibilities as tools to evolve. Change may not always be welcomed and often it cuts our world apart which we were actually fine with. But “being fine” is rather part of our comfort zone and stagnates our development. If we are not willing to leave our comfort zone then life will “help” us to do so. Read more ›
This post went in a different direction than I thought when I started writing it. But as we all know, there is a reason and I will let it be as it was written in its natural flow. I am sure it will reach the people or hearts it is meant for.
On the last day of 2018, I shared some thoughts about the connection of how everything that happens leads us to the place we are today. That also means that no matter how we may feel about our lives, we have never been more experienced than we are today. We are the best versions of ourselves in this very moment.
There are setbacks, of course. We start something with enthusiasm and passion. Or something beautiful seems to open up for us. And it is demotivating to see this all falling apart although we put so much lifeblood and effort into it. But that doesn’t mean you failed. Yes, sometimes situations can repeat. Sometimes they repeat because we did not get the whole meaning. Sometimes we need to take a detour to pack something in our backpack which we need in order to continue our journey on the main street.
What I want to say with this: Whatever you do, whatever step you take, whatever decision you make, how you act or react, it brings you further but never back! Every experience leaves an insight. So never let anyone tell you that you failed. It is your way, not their way. Life will help you to repeat or to go deeper. It is not a punishment it is to support our growth. Even if we cannot understand the meaning or see the greater context when we are in the middle of difficult times – and perhaps we never will – there is always a greater reason behind everything that happens. And the more we follow our inner compass the faster we will get past it and will reach the end of the valley.
Believe in yourself, believe in wise guidance, and believe that in the end, all will be fine. Looking back you will be proud to look down that mountain you just climbed and see that it was worth all the effort. Every little or bigger obstacle you faced and overcame will make the joy of the view bigger.
If this year throws stones at you build beautiful castles from it or solid stepstones. From the ruins of broken dreams or relationships build bridges. Nothing that exists gets lost. It only needs to be placed together in a new way. And this world is in a deep need for a new architecture assembled from our own inner healing flames of love and the desire of making it one peaceful paradise for everyone. We are created from love and our natural being is love. Let’s let our true selves shine. The change is already happening. Let’s not get discouraged by any seeming setbacks. Let’s take each other by the hand, follow the light our hearts shine and we can never fail.
A few weeks ago I picked up one of Walsch’s books and began to read the first pages. After I read the short list of the 25 core messages to explain the main message (in the title) I stopped reading. It was so inspiring and I my mind started spinning. Before I am reading on I want to share the flow of pictures and thoughts of some of those core messages which immediately filled me. Most of those core messages won’t appear new since we are talking about them over and over again. We all share them with our own words. Isn’t that an amazing proof that we are fully aware of God’s message? If you would like to read the previous parts, you can check out here part 1,part 2, and part 3.Read more ›

How far do our obligations go regarding keeping up with activities and services we once started? Life changes, our circumstances change, situations change, attitudes, change, priorities change… heck, we change! Although, from an impartial point of view, there is no question that it is clear to adjust parts of our lives to changes in our lives. But why can it be so hard to pull it through? Read more ›
That moment, when you naturally take a deep breath with a smile on your face. That moment when you see the struggles you are in right now and maybe also the challenges ahead but without feeling under pressure. That moment when you find yourself above the life you lead. That moment when you realize that life has so much more to offer than what it demands from you. Read more ›
When I saw this quote – as simple as it is – my mind started spinning because it holds so much meaning in so many different ways. Then again, it nails it all down to the fact that the natural state of who we are is happiness. Read more ›
We all have both of them. And much too often they seem to stand in opposition to each other. Because what we do and what we would love to do sometimes appears like sitting in completely different corners. But why actually? Why should it be not possible to realize our dreams and fulfill our obligations or even make them our obligations at the same time? Read more ›
Today a flock of 15 to 20 storks appeared from nowhere when I was about to leave my old apartment after I was done with all the cleaning. It was stunning to see those huge birds circling so close above me for at least 10 minutes. What a fitting metaphor at that very moment! Just had to share it.
A day can start well. You are looking forward to what it has in store for you and you are unburdened and open for everything in a positive way. But all of a sudden a single incident can throw you off your feet. You find out that you may have been tricked, used, or manipulated and you are really mad. The worst thing someone can say in that moment is: “Calm down, I am sure, it will all work out for you.” Most of all when it is the person who caused your irritation. Read more ›
Recently I stumbled over a Tweet saying: It would take 1 second to retweet this. #stephensstory an inspiration to the whole world I took a look at the Twitter site and saw the photo of a young man lying in a hospital bed. When I read the text next to the pictures it was obviously clear that this man is facing the end of his physical life. What kept me glued were his positive and peaceful words. Although he would have loved to have more time and accomplish all of the plans and dreams he still had, he seemed in peace with what is. He even found comforting and cherishing words for his relatives and friends. And the picture as well showed a person with both thumbs up knowing what might happen but thankful for what has been.
