Pay Attention to the Whisper
Holding on to memories
That sink deep into my mind
Digging into guilt and blame
And nothing else to find
Although I saw how much I changed
I could not drop the thought
That what I did, caused and left pain
In those young children’s hearts
For years, I only looked
At days decades ago
In my guilt, I refused to look
At what the present is to show
My noise of blame was much too loud
To finally find salvation
When one small thought revealed a truth
And cleared the lenses of distortion
When we want clarity, we must
Silence the inner twister
Sometimes the biggest insights come
With just a silent whisper
In Love and Life

I hear you. Silence means, you hear what you try to avoid. But yes, it is nothing scary but actually relieving once we dare to give ourselves into us.

Thank you, Marsha! I truly think that many experienced their biggest insights that way. There is so much truth in us but times are so busy and we try to keep up with everything. We need to make some time only for us to rest a bit in ourselves and listen to what the outer noise hides.

Thank you very much, Holly. I am glad you feel that way about the poem. It comes from deep within. I think, I even made the last two lines a quote. Thank you for your beautiful comment 💖

We cannot let the past bury us and hinder us from living in the here and now. Beautiful thoughts and writing, Erika.

No, we must not or we will always remain at the same dark spot. Sometimes it is a long search, to find that door into the light, but if we keep searching, it will show up. Thank you very much, I am happy you liked it, Sylvester.

You’re right, the key words are “to keep searching”. You’re very welcome, I liked it a lot.

And so beautifully spoken Erika. A hearts journey can be so painful…in that silence. You have found great wisdom kind lady, and in that, no greater love, empathy and compassion can you give in that understanding. They are built from it ❤️🙏

The silent voices have such a power for that is why they don’t need to be loud.
