The topic for this post was given by Keith of btg5885. I thank you very much, Keith, for dropping me your questions. It is one of my favorite topics to write about. Here are Keith’s questions:
What are the common attributes in people who connect us? And, what are the differences that make life fun and interesting and make us better than who we are by experiencing them?
Let’s start with the obvious. What do we all have in common at first sight? We all have a body. We all need air to breathe. We all need food and water to make this bodywork. We all have dreams. And most of all: We all want to be loved. Why do we want to feel loved? Why do we feel pain, frustration, and isolation when we don’t feel loved? Why can we get sick and fall apart when we don’t feel loved? Because love is our life’s energy. Love is the energy that created life. No life was ever created from negative intentions. Negative intentions create devastation. But love creates life and we live. We are aware and as long as we are aware of anything – whether in a body or not – we live! Without love, we cannot exist because love is what created us and we are what we come from. We are love in our core, no matter what may show up through the ego. And this love is what connects all of us far beneath a physical existence throughout time and space.
Two years ago I joined a lecture and workshop with Neale Donald Walsch in Zurich (Switzerland). He said: When you look in the eyes of another person you feel connected. Because something looks familiar. When you look longer than a minute into the eyes of another person, you fall in love with that person. Because you see yourself in those eyes. We all have aspects of one another in everyone. It is this love that flows through everything and everyone and keeps life in motion. It is the evolution of the constant drive, the motivation, the zest for life, the fuel to always stand up again and move on to higher spheres and new shores. Love is what connects us all the time and everywhere in eternity. Because love is the only energy that really exists. You can eliminate hatred and fear but you can never eliminate love. It will always show up again. Love is the only truth.
In this love, we all are invited to share an experience on this planet. It is like going out to the playground and playing with our (soul) mates. We take over some roles to interact. We lose ourselves in that game and identify with the role we play. But everybody still carries something unique within which they pass on and share. It inspires me to see other points of view or to be challenged by other mates. And how we react or deal with those challenges and inspirations defines our further path. We all influence each other constantly with every word, with every smile, with every look.
Now back to the connecting love. The love that flows through us and connects us also keeps the progress in motion and developments in perfect order. 10 people can be challenged with the same happening but they make something completely different out of it due to their own uniqueness. Everybody has a different path to go and has different goals and fates in life. Whatever they encounter will lead them exactly to the points they are supposed to in the way they deal with it. There are no coincidences. When you look back on your life and at the toughest or the most beautiful times you will see what they taught you in order to be the person you are today, and in order to open doors you would have never even seen without.
The colors we all bring into this world connect us through the energy of love. We are adding and changing colors. It is like a huge rainbow embracing this world. The one who is aware of that will find out that actually, the differences are what connect us! The differences complement us and someday we will find out that we need everybody in their uniqueness to be whole again. That is when we will have peace on earth.
Differences are what we all have in common – a connecting link!

Wonderful post.If only we would embrace each others uniqueness instead of making it a point of division. Acceptance and love will make so much difference in the world.

I love the color analogy as it works perfectly. It’s like we’re all prisms and the light shines through us differently, casting an array of colors all around us. Great post!

Hey, thanks, Rob! That is a great picture you give with the radiation of a unique reflection of colors by everyone. That’s awesome. May I quote you?

Many thanks Erika. I love the phrase “the differences complement us.” Your focus on love as the common theme is so true whether it is passionate love, a parent’s love or a friend’s love. Another blogging friend was traveling through Germany for a wedding and she took wonderful black and white photos of fellow travelers which showed how similar we all are whether it was a father and daughter or young or old couple. Thanks for taking me up on the suggestion. All the best, Keith

I am so happy, you liked what I wrote, Keith. I love the example with the black and white photos. That is awesome that you mention that. Love truly is the connecting link between everything. And yes in the end our united differences make us all whole again. Thank you so much for giving me this topic, the pleasure is mine, Keith 🙂
