Chances
Not knowing what the future brings
Curiosity that also scares
Careful steps toward new rooms
Leaving familiar spheres
Change is our companion
It sticks to us quite strong
When we think, now all is fine
It says, not for too long
It wants us to develop
To explore what life provides
No matter age or time
It will be our guide
OK, dear change, I accept
To step beyond my comfort zone
To take the challenge and new chances
Grab the bull tightly by its horn
In Love and Light
I love that! Grab the bull by the horns and hang on for the ride!

Wonderful. I remember a rodeo movie once where the hero said that it isn’t the bull that throws the rider off, it’s the rider not gripping tight enough.

Grab that bull by the horns and if it throws you off, get up and grab those horns again.
Wonderful poem, I like it a lot! 🌞

Precisely, Sylvester! May we stand up one more time than we fall… as Mark Twain (I think he was it) said it. I am glad you liked it 🌞

Loved the last line about grabbing the bull’s horn. Am there too grabbing them so tightly as I swing upon then uncomfortable waves of change.

You are so right, we cannot avoid life’s storms but we can always learn to swim through them. Thank you Sanjo!

Loved your poem.. Yes change and making those changes in ones life is never easy, but without those challenges we wouldn’t grow .. May we each grab the Bull by the horns Erika xx ❤

I think, change only happens when we are not yet at the place we are supposed to be and that is barely comfortable when life gives you that overdue push – when even we don’t realize that it is overdue. Yes, Sue, may we never lose grip of those horns 💖

I feel perhaps the next big push is in the pipeline Erika 🙂 xx

Sounds like a plan to accomplish… I hope you only walk faster through that push but don’t fall. Much love, dear Sue 💖

How true:
When we think, now all is fine
It says, not for too long
Thank you for this encouragement to embrace change.

Great verse Erika, there are many that arrive on our doorstep. Sometimes we’re ready, sometimes not. But just sometimes from somewhere deep within…and urge to take a step descends on us…and lets our hearts go free 😀❤️🙏

I agree, sometimes we grab them and sometimes not. For a while I used to grab every chance I got provided which is not a good idea either. I think, it does not matter whether we take chances or not. But what matters is the awareness about a chance and the conscious decision to take it or not.
