I’m Free – Part 1: Our True Self

Freedom has become more and more of an issue again in our current world. May it be physical or mental liberty. I decided to share short excerpts from my book I’m Free – Awareness of Who You Are by Discovering Who You Are Not!

On four consecutive Mondays, I will share an excerpt from each of the four parts of the book:

  1. Our True Self
  2. Origin of Fears and Blockages
  3. Journey to Freedom
  4. Realignment

Enjoy!

I Love, Therefore I Am!

Pretty much everyone knows Descartes’ quotation: “I think, therefore I am”. This would mean: As long as we are able to think, we exist. The reverse would say: When I don’t think, I am not. And more: As soon as our brain does not function anymore and our body dies, we cease to exist. Can this really be true?

Our ability to think is proof of our physical existence. But our true existence is imperishable and independent from a physical body. We are eternal life. And during this eternal life, we occasionally dive into a body with which we can experience things we could not experience without it. It is not the brain that gives life to this body – the brain is just a control center and also part of the body. What awakens our body to life is the “I am”. It is our Soul – the divine spark, the energy where we come from and which we are – and which enables us to live a physical life.

The True Self is responsible for enabling us to give a body the possibility to think. Actually, the phrase should be the other way around: “I am, therefore I think”. But there is still a small inconsistency. Our True Self feels, emits energy, and radiates vibrations. But the thinking belongs to our brain, therefore to the physical part of the body. The “I am” within us is wisdom and love. And we feel this love with our hearts, not with our minds. It is this area where the spark that keeps us alive –God’s light, our Soul – is situated. The “I am” was created out of love, and therefore we are love to the very core. God is love and love is God. God is immortal. When we feel this love, we feel God, the root of our existence. When we feel love, we feel the immortal within us. And the immortal is our Soul – our “I am”. When we feel ourselves, we feel love, we feel God.

Even when our body dies, we still exist. Then, we recognize our true existence again. We are always, with or without a body, with or without thinking.

The sentence should be read as follows:

 “I love, therefore I am”.

The sentence should be read as follows: “I love, therefore I am.”

Very well spoken Erika, and I love your version at the bottom of ‘I love, therefore I am’. My last ‘event’ in my post showed the exact reverse of that. May it never happen. Thank you for sharing your love kind lady, ever a place of that heartfelt love and a smile in reading your words. Thank you 😀❤️🙏🏽

Love is who we are and that love will never die. Since we are immortal beings living temporarily in a physical body, that love will always be present in which form ever… as we so often talked about it.
My favorite topping, Mark. This is one thing we have very much in common 😊

You know, blogging is not like Twitter or Facebook where there is a follow for a follow. It is more like following blogs you are interested in. But when I have some time I will definitely check your blog out. You just need a bit patience, since my life is extremely busy. I hope you don’t mind that. However, I am very glad we are conntected 😊
