This is the wall tattoo above my bed. I see it daily and it still speaks to me. I often write about dreams and how they trigger our intention to try something new or to explore new fields. Those dreams are like a preview of something we desire to be or to have. They can generate new courage and strength to take steps with conviction and determination towards the realization of that dream.

Too often people don’t understand that dreaming alone is only half of the deal. The other part is up to them. They need to take the challenge and start a new journey. That journey needs to be walked. Yes, sometimes the realization of a dream may fall into our laps. But even if that is the case we need to make something of it or it will fall apart as quickly as it appeared. It means we need to take chances actively. We cannot sit there and wait until the world changes or until other people change in order that our dreams can come true. They won’t do us the favor that we can stay in our comfort zone. Because a dream shall move us. We need to take steps. We need to take action. We need to understand that a dream may be a vision of a present to be but only if we pursue it.

Because there is an important effect and meaning of a dream: it provokes to make us do something we haven’t done before. This again means that we develop or improve skills, abilities, characteristics. On one hand, a dream is a reminder of the soul of what we are meant to achieve in this life. On the other hand, it works like bait to start a journey which leads us to the actual goal or insight we were meant to experience. However, a dream tells us that there is more than we had before or more we can make of ourselves and our lives. When we can dream it, the possibility is high that we can be it.

However, a dream will always have an effect on our lives. Whether we pursue them or not, it makes us develop. Either by bringing them to life through working on them or by regretting that we didn’t.
Believe in your dreams.
Believe that they can come true.
Believe in you that you can realize them.
They are a part of your beautiful being which keeps you going to explore this life, to explore yourself, to rediscover your creative power, and to remember that you are eternal and limitless.
This reminded me of a poem I wrote back in 2009. Later I made a song of it together with a friend. If you like it and would listen to more songs then click HERE.

Your dreams are a part of what you brought here. That’s why you have them. Don’t let them burst like bubbles!

No sitting on our hands waiting for something to change. You are right on target, we have to be active in pursuing our dreams for them to come to realization and regardless if no one else believes, the most important thing is that you believe. There is no right time even though might take time and do not allow your dreams to crumble in the face of adversity. Thank you for this ultra inspiring post.

Awesome comment, Sylvester! Yes, there are some steps to be taken. Have a dream, believe in it, look out for ways, make a plan, and go for it! As you said, not sitting on your hands and waiting for better times!
Thank you for this powerful comment!

You say it, Miriam. When we sit and wait, the chances to realize the dream may pass by.

What a wonderful post, and yes its up to us to put into motion our dreams and make them happen. No good sitting and expecting them to be delivered when we can not be bothered to put in the time or intention.
If I want my garden, allotment plot to grow, we have to put in the time and attention to planting seeds, tending it etc… ( which is what we have been busy with doing recently )
Loved your poem/song too Erika.. you are so talented ❤

Exactly, Sue. I love your example, Sue. We need to put some effort and courage into the realization of our dreams. Planting seeds is one thing but then, as you said, we have to water them, tend them, take care of them.
Realizing a dream is a vivid project in motion!

Don’t worry, Sue. I am barely around either. The coming three months will be crazy. We are renovating and I am moving again. The weekends are packed and I have no idea when I shall do my writing. Anyway, this shall pass too, as Eckhart Tolle says… lol!
