It’s time for another page of my book 365 Thoughts of Healing. I am sure many can find themselves in the words below. Whether we understand others or not, everybody has the right to be heard and respected. Unfortunately, even that is not easy to understand for many, until they are in that position. Have a great week!
365 Thoughts of Healing is available on Amazon
as an e-book (on any Amazon marketplace)
or paperback (except on .com.au and .co.jp)
The links above lead you to amazon.com
but you can purchase the book on any Amazon marketplace.

Thank you, Gary! We need to detatch from the need to be understood because that is in the choice of others and not under our control. It is not easy to accept, but once we do, it is highly liberating 💖

People won’t listen, and won’t be interesting to understand our struggles, but more important is, that we understand that we matter. The more we show it others, the more we understand how much we matter. Have a good night, Carol Anne 💖

Oh Erika ………….. would you mind sending a copy of that to The White House? They are falling so short in all matters human.

Haha, well said Colin. And yes, in fact I think they should have a course on humanity before they are allowed in. Actually I’m intrigued why all politicians seem to be that type of manipulating, deceitful, can’t walk a straight line person. I couldn’t be the wheeling and dealing money side of it, could it? 🤣❤️🙏

Hi Mark – I would not want to make people think that I am a “jaded” old man ……. but it seems so prevalent now that money/greed is driving the political climate around the world.
I am not a good proponent of any of the world’s religions but (and as far as I am aware) they pretty much all teach the “love thy neighbour”, “help others wherever possible” kind of lifestyles, and yet we seem to hear less and less about such actions. Even acknowledging that wars, murders, drug trafficking etc. makes good news = gets more attention = increases revenues, you would think that some good news is out there somewhere that would help restore our faith in human nature …. and specifically our politicians!
That’s it ……….. it is my dinner time now! 🙂

Well said Colin. It does indeed make people jaded but thankfully I’ve seen what is beyond it. And that may be cheating a bit but it gives me hope that it all has a place, hard though it is, and a love through it all. And on those hard days, a piece of chocolate so I can give thanks that this world hasn’t totally lost it all. Enjoy your meal kind sir 😂❤️🙏

Colin, I had a similar thought. I was shaking my head and smiling at the same time, when I picked this one randomly…

Well written Erika. As time goes by we get better at it, an acceptance of self so that we too can accept others. Still polishing my heart kind lady, I have a bump or two to go 🤣 But thank you for sharing yours 🤗❤️🙏

Always a pleasure to share the in- and outside. Not everything is as shiny as we want. But, as you said, it is up to us to polish it. We can all shine, if we want to. It can be a hard way and maybe even scary. But once we rediscover that light in ourselves we will never ever dim it anymore. Your experience about it is outstanding 💖

Thank you kind lady. It is a very profound journey and we really don’t give ourselves credit for so much. But each step is indeed building something wonderful…and…with a hand up by so much around us. As your words do my friend. Ever a guide to ask ourselves more questions and dare to see within. Thank you 🤗❤️🙏

Thank you, Mark. You give me reason to continue what I started once because I began to understand, how important it is to take that step into ourselves. Only that way we receive the answers we are looking for and drop the layer that hid them from us.
Still, the journey will continue and we might not get it done, but we get further and see that we are so much more that we expected. Thank you so much, dear friend 💖

Erika, well done. From the movie “The Help,” Viola Davis’ character helped a little girl with esteem issues by giving her a mantra to repeat – you are kind, you are smart and you are important. Keith

Right! And that is the “secret” repeat a thought (word) often enough and it becomes a belief. We can program ourselves with whatever we want. So, let’s choose something that feels good. Thank you, Keith!

PS – I have a relative that has esteem issues, so with her permission, we taped that mantra to her bathroom mirror. Keith

Thank you for sharing this today, Erika. It is perfect for me right now. It is so important to feel like we are seen. So often, we move through the days invisible, like a ghost. I will pause today to SEE someone else!

Oh, that sounds good. I hope you are having a great time together. Enjoy your day, Jan!
I heard from a psychologist that those people who need confirmation about themselves or about what they do, are not selfish or feel important. They might have not gotten a lot of attention when they were younger or needed to prove their worth by achievements. It is sad, that still children need to buy love and respect by fulfilling their parents’ expectations.

Love and respect yourself first and foremost. There are so many outside opinions about you but your own is what is most important.

Yes, not everyone will understand you (or is interested to understand you). More important is that we realize that it is not others who tell us who we are. They are not better then us, just different in their views, that’s it!

That’s it. Everyone is different and can’t expect others to think exactly like them.

Erika, I like this one a great deal. Letting people know they matter says a great deal. It could be as simple as knowing a loved one or friend likes a certain kind of candy bar or hot tea. Or, it could be much more. Gordon Lightfoot has a great song that describes my wife – “Rainy Day People.” They call friends and relatives out of the blue letting them know they are thinking of them, that they matter. I will hear her laughing on the phone with someone she has not talked to for years. Keith

So true, Keith! My little company’s name is “Because You Matter”. It is so important to give people that feeling because everyone deserves it and actually does matter anyway! That is what everyone needs to pin to their bathroom mirrors: I matter!

Erika, we heard an old Jewel song today called “Hands.” A key lyric brought me back to your post:
”In the end, only kindness matters.”
