The World Waits For You!

Today, as I write and schedule this post, it is Nov. 21st, and I am one day away from my first Christmas market of the season. Since I have been even busier planning and organizing for the past two weeks, my level of inspiration is not very high. So, I helped myself and picked an oracle card from my favorite deck, “Gateway Oracle Cards” by Denise Linn. When I saw the card, I smiled and thought it was so obvious that I picked that one, but I was still surprised at how precise the universe is in picking up one’s vibrations.

No, I am not pregnant (that part is over for good). But as some of you may know, I became a grandma in October. This naturally has a strong influence on every aspect of my life. Not only does our little sunshine bring so much joy, but she also changes my worldview and priorities once again. However, there is much more about this card. The message it conveys is so much more significant. Here is how my thoughts got led:

Sometimes, I am struggling with managing everything I am doing. But just before I picked the card, I had a thought that brought so much peace and joy to my heart. I thought of the market this weekend and felt such enthusiasm. Why am I doing what I am doing? Because I want to give something from myself to serve others. This coming weekend, I have the opportunity to connect with many wonderful people and offer something for their well-being. I have the chance to serve others with something I create. How wonderful is that?

And that is what the card wants to tell us. There is something in you that wants to reach the surface and shine for you and for others. There is something in you that wants to be shared. Everybody has something that others benefit from. It can be a talent like painting, making music, writing, or inventing things. Or it is the silent talent of listening, supporting, and encouraging. Perhaps there has been a fire burning within you, but for whatever reason, you have been trying to extinguish it because it didn’t fit your agenda, the general picture, the circumstances, or specific people’s approval. Maybe the time has come to stand up, take the first step, and see where it leads. You don’t need to jump. Just dare to take a small step and check out the air. You can only win! Give birth to that wonderful light only you can bring into this world.

In Love and Light

P.S.
After I wrote this post, I took the cards to put them away. When I turned the deck over, the card on top said: Expecting Miracles. What a wonderful card to follow the first one…

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

This world is truly teaching us so much beauty kind lady, even if we don’t realize it at first. But gradually that love guides, allows us to be open in it…and be free. Shining like that diamond that we all are individually, uniquely, beautifully are. Great post Erika, we are all taking those steps to become something wonderful 🤗🎄🎅🎶🎁🕊️🦌☃️❤️🙏

Totally agree with everything you wrote. When I leave this life, I will not leave any world records; I will not leave any life changing discoveries; I will not have a statue created in my honour, and there will not be a day designated Colin’s Day. So what will I leave behind?

I will leave behind memories that generate smiles in a wide range of people. I have had various volunteer positions and will be remembered for “being there” at a critical moment in their lives; coaching others to achieve their goals; offering a friendly hug when clearly needed; contributing financially to a number of charitable organizations. Very early in my life I was helped by a total stranger through a difficult period, and that small fragment of my history has driven me to do whatever I can to help others.

My final wish would be that all those individuals whose roads through life crossed mine for a brief moment; all those individuals who can reflect on our brief journey together and smile; my wish would be that, after I have gone, they carry on their journey demonstrating a giving, compassionate and simply caring personality. What more could anybody possibly want?

I am approaching the end of my life journey, but many of you still have a long way to go so bring your “dynamic energy” into the world and, if you have not already done so, take that “first, but passionate, small step”. It will be an experience never to be forgotten and who knows ……. it may change the direction of your life journey! Happy travels!

Oh, yes, I love that! “What more could anybody possibly want?” I completely agree, Colin. Since I know a few stories of your life and now reading this summary I am amazed again that you have been so in touch with something that led you right to the points you were needed or which you needed. What amazes me is that you always seemed to trust the journey which is the reason you could look back at so much giving and receiving.

Recently, Keith said in a comment something like: if we receive kindness we should forward it three times. I don’t remember the exact words, but I love the idea to triple the kindness we recieved. And that reminds me of the promis you gave to yourself. That is the most fulfilling life you can create for yourself – knowing you made someones day a bit better. And if it is “only” with a smile (as you said).

Thank you for your encouraging and motivating words and to tell from my experience I second them. I hope many read them.

Hi Erika – I have been dwelling on your statement “What amazes me is that you always seemed to trust the journey”, because I really don’t think that was my position. In fact, through my numerous life challenges (and given that my spiritual influences were minimal), I really don’t think that “trust” was a factor, but rather a resignation to the realities of my circumstances and deciding to make the best of whatever presented itself to me.

I believe that there always positives in any situation, but have to acknowledge that it can take time to understand what they are. Once acknowledged however ………….. give your new direction 110% and enjoy the ride!

Hmm, that is a good point. It is amazing how close trust and resignation are to each other, and yet both can lead to the same or similar results. This confirms that regardless why we decide to do something, it will lead us. And it will lead us constructively. We will learn what we need to learn and get from one spot to the next – when even it is not from determination but from resignition. In this context, we can’t do anything wrong. It is not if but only how we get there. That is something to let sink.

I agree and I learned that too, whatever happens and whatever we do, happens for a reason and in a higher context. So, let’s not hesitate and hold ourselves back. Move on and one day, the reason behind everything might appear in the growing context. And even if not, there is a reason – and it is ok.

Thanks for that reminder, Colin. That’s food for thought!
