Two Choices
When something bothers you in life
You have a choice to turn
Away from it or turn towards
Regarding the concern
Which choice to pick is sometimes clear
And sometimes it’s a pain
Both can be right, but one’s for you
Just pick one – you will gain
You gain at least experience
Because life won’t let go
Regarding your intention
That caused you to get-go
The easy way may not pay off
When you tried to escape
Or when you kept going because
You were too scared to quit
If the same thing keeps coming back
Look closer and be true
If it was fear that made you choose
You may need to choose new
Growth lies in overcoming
Do not avoid, accept
What triggers resistance in us
Shows clearly the next step
In Love and Light

Yes! Agree! We always have a choice, sometimes it is hard to choose the right thing, but it is important to choose wisely!

If we choose the easy way we may have to take the longer route to reach our destination. But we will reach it – no doubt!

This is so true, Erika! Spending the time with pondering about concerns is more complex than to see the concerns directly. Thanks for mentioning this. Best wishes also for a nice week! xx Michael

I couldn’t agree more, Michael. We would lose our resistance and gain self-esteem, if we only grabbed the bull by the horns from the first moment on. Have a good weak too, Michael!

The first one was the initial thought. I was discussing this with my boss/co-worker. Sometimes things come back to you to tell you something. I turnde away from tasks I thought, I don’t like, but actually I was afraid of it (because I knew too little about it). Since I changed my job I wanted to do something completely different but ended up at a similar task… and I knew that turning away did not work. So I have to turn towards to solve it. And that works fantastically well!!

Erika, thanks for sharing your inspiration. The act of “doing” is therapeutic, especially when the task is onerous. The hardest task begins with that first step.
I am reminded of the first day of a university semester with a crowded class room. When the professor said each student will need to write a term paper, the next day the class would be 1/2 full.
People hate to write papers as much as they hate to speak. To me, writing papers helped me learn. Plus, at some point, students will have to take the class with a paper required.

Indeed, it is inevitable. The sooner you “step over your shadow” as we say here the faster you get into it and used to it. Facing the things we fear is still the best method to overcome it. So, if something feels scary we should look closer.
Thank you very much for sharing this example, Keith.

Thank you, dear Holly. Which way we choose, will only define the route but not the destination 💖

Beautifully profound Erika. It is an amazing thing when we look a little deeper at ‘why’ we make many choices. Do we dare. Then something comes along that truly rocks us…and what went before loses its importance, and many thing that didn’t…suddenly do. So many gifts in these encounters, and all of them with a great love, in stepping through them all.
Great post kind lady, may it share its gift too…if we dare to listen to it. Thank you 🤗🤣❤️🙏

Oh, yes, so true. When we dare to take the unknown path new ways open. And yes, we get challenged (too) but move out of our too small shell which in the end is the only path too choose. If we choose the easy we (stay) then it might work for the moment but the time for choosing will come again. Thank you very much, Mark 😊💖

There is always a choice and whatever choice we make, comes with its consequences good or bad, yet it is our choice to make.

Which way ever will lead us where we are supposed to arrive. When we choose the easy way, we might have to do another round.
