I found a post again that I shared three years ago. It spoke volumes to me, since currently, I have to remind myself of the important fact that only in distancing from life, I find the necessary overview and the needed solutions. My employed job has been overwhelming me in many ways more and more for years. I don’t want to go into details because I don’t mean to please you with my problems. The irony is that I slipped into it for a purpose that does not even exist anymore. But that is life. Sometimes you start something only to be led to the actual lesson. Nothing is in vain, but when something no longer serves the purpose, it begins to show itself in internal and external tensions. Maybe this speaks to more of us than only to me.

The inspiration for this post was a phone call with a friend three years ago. I was desperate because of his exhaustion from an overdemanding job and shocking news in his private life. I pulled cards for him, and the core message was: Only when he takes care of himself, refills his energy reserves, and finds his balance again, his mind calms down, and the channel between his heart and his mind becomes clear. That way, he is open to seeing the signs or finding the answer in himself.
In the following, I share the crucial paragraphs of the original post:
Isn’t it crazy? When we need an answer the most urgently, we find ourselves in conditions of stress, sadness, hectic, frustration, disappointment, or anger. When we are occupied with those energies, we are not able to find a solution because we close the door to the chamber of wisdom. We are so digging into the problem that we are blind to all the solutions and possibilities surrounding us. We need to clear our channel, and therefore we need to find a way to detach from what is blurring the view. Yes, get into your power again, spoil yourself, enjoy yourself, do something good for yourself. You deserve it so much! And when you are fully back in yourself, you feel life’s energy strengthening you again. That way, you lift yourself above the problem instead of getting buried by it. You can look at it instead of feeling captive. Perhaps the former issue may not even appear as a problem anymore.
Well-being is our natural state of being. We need to be in that state for being in alignment with the true self. Then we are in our power, in balance, in peace, and in the awareness that whatever we need to deal with is part of our lives but not of ourselves. Otherwise, we are reacting instead of acting. Then we don’t develop consciously with the happenings in our lives but get pushed around by them, and we are constantly busy trying to keep our heads above the water. Whatever happens, can have so many meanings. Don’t always go with the first reflexive thought. That is just what you have experienced so far. But life is meant to help you develop. So, grant yourself time and pause before you react. Because it may likely be that there is a different meaning in a situation than you thought and when you recognize it, it will take you to a new place.

Get into your power in a way that fits you. May it be talking to friends, going out into nature, going on vacation, reading books, meditating, and more. You know what you need to feel better. And you will be feeling yourself again. Only then, you illuminate the path to see where to go.
On my new calendar for this year, there are spiritual messages for each month. For January it says:
The vision of your life:
How would your absolute dream-life look like?
Consciously start to write the script for your life using your imagination and your most beautiful feelings. Dream and create it.
Isn’t this already detaching and uplifting? Get into your power and think of how and where you want to see yourself. You will find ways to get there because your channel is clear.
In Love and Light

What a great inspirational post to kick off the New Year with, Erika. I love the quotes, especially the one about storms clearing a path for us. It’s so true, yet many of us think these types of life events come only to make us sad, stressed or made to feel guilty. When I think back on all the storms I’ve encountered in my life, they now take on such a different meaning.

I think, as long as people think about those storms as punishments or as random happenings to keep them from happiness, they haven’t understood yet what those storms are for. Those storms can make you even weaker than or raise your awareness like you said it. Either they open up your mind or making a person hide even deeper in their shell. However, it depends on our mind’s openness… which I think is one of the results a storm is supposed to generate.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, Hugh!

Pooh always has the answer. Have you read the Tao of Pooh?

No, I haven’t. I just checked them on the internet. That sounds intriguing. There are so many profound statements that I can imagine so well as an introduction to the Eastern belief system.

It’s both funny and fascinating how he uses the Pooh books to illustrate the philosophy
