Because it is a reflex. Have you noticed that some people ask about how someone is doing, and then they say: “I am glad to hear because then I don’t need to worry.” When I hear that, I promptly say: “Exactly, you never need to.” It appears that some show their compassion by the grade they worry about something or someone. But what’s that for? It only adds negative vibes to someone that already tries to stay as positive as possible.
It’s not done by simply saying I don’t have to worry, and magically I stop worrying. The more a person or outcome means to us, the more we tend to worry about a positive result. I’m no different. I often ask myself, why do you expect a bad outcome when the chances of a good outcome are equal? Why don’t you trust that everything will go well? Why can’t you remain neutral? Perhaps we have become hypersensitive from too many disappointing experiences and have developed a reflexive skepticism? Whatever it is, once this feeling has settled in the pit of your stomach, it’s not easy to get rid of it.
Children don’t worry. They’ve been trained to. Trained by what they see others do and by education. For example, if a mother has a panic attack every time she sees a spider, the child will get the message: You have to be afraid of spiders. Spiders are evil. We relate the experiences we have to what we have seen and what we have been taught. We store the conclusions we individually draw from them in our minds. I even know people who say, “First and foremost, I expect the worst to happen. Because then I can’t be disappointed.” Uhm, what? When this attitude is lived, I’m not surprised that worry is a constant companion, because they already and only expect bad things to happen. Then, when that outcome turns out badly, as expected, they feel vindicated. They think that it was their gut feeling that had warned them. But this is a misunderstanding in such cases. It was only confirmed that what one “wanted” to see has manifested: “Your wish is my command.” The law of attraction. It is what we actually feel that determines the direction in which we creatively influence.
Therefore it is not enough to tell ourselves that all will be well while we feel differently. The feeling tells us the truth about what we believe. We never know what tomorrow brings. We don’t know if what appears to be a rock-solid plan will ultimately come to fruition that way. But only because we don’t know doesn’t mean everything breaks down or the most probable outcome will be negative. Life is constantly in motion and that is what keeps us developing. From the mutual influences, our circumstances create from which we are pushed to act, react, get inspired, keep moving, keep building, keep living. It is in that we need to learn to trust.
I think it all has a lot to do not only with lack of confidence but also with impatience. “If it hasn’t happened yet, that’s a bad sign. Someone may have been faster.” On top of everything else, this creates a large portion of stress, which you create yourself. Things take time to develop. How can we know when all the conditions are in place? If we constantly doubt the development that has already begun, it will only take more time to manifest because we are energetically influencing the process again. Yes, we need a lot of practice and discipline to reprogram that impatient and skeptical mind to just shut up.
Broken Dreams
As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend.
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my Friend.
But instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.
At last, I snatched them back and cried,
“How can You be so slow”-
“My child,” He said, “What could I do?
You never let them go.”

Worrying only pulls us deeper into an abyss of anxiety. Sometimes it is hard to remain patient when everything is telling you something different than what you are hoping for. We are all human and no one is immune to worrying at time but you just have know how to counterbalance that with confidence, faith and building a positive end result rather than a negative one. Have an awesome week, Erika 🌟

Right, it is not about never worrying but to recognize the moment when it becomes unhealthy. Then it is necessary to remember that it is in our hands how we feel even about the toughest of situations.
Thank you very much for your insightful comment. I appreciate it very much 😊

Like you you said, worry will come but we can learn to manage it and not let it get the best of us. You’re very welcome and your posts and quotes are appreciated always 😊

Worry is the action of observing something concerning. You said it beautifully here Erika, we needn’t put action of fear into it. Anchoring and shining love, holding the light in these situations is much more productive. All we can do is love. Practicing trust and faith and sending out those intentions through our heart space ❤

Indeed, all we need to do is feeling ourselves into trust, trusting to trust, looking at the rays of sun between the clouds, and we will never cease to be without light.
Thank you for your wonderful comment, Maria 💖

So much resonance and reflection in what you said. Yesterday, I walked out to the lake and did just that. Stared into the Sun and heard those words and all returned to love. Retreating into nature returns us to our nature and the balance is restored within. You have such a wonderful way of stating this Erika, with the spectacular views you have outside your windows 🪟 🏞✨💫🙌

Wonderful reminders for us all… I learnt my fear of spiders too from my Mother and then had to unlearn it as an adult. lol….
Your poem says it all… Everything is in the hands of God, Source, our Creator… Each of us chose this experience and create our own experiences via our thoughts holding our belief systems whether they be good or bad.. Positive or Negative..
I once had an colleague who always said she won at Bingo…. And sure enough she was always winning… Another friend said she never won… and never did…. The energy we put into things is what we get out…
So Worrying only brings us down into a negative spiral.
Like seeing the glass half empty or half full…
What will be will be and what is, Is….. And what many cannot comprehend is that we have all of us contributed to our experience.. So if we want to change it.. We have to look in the mirror and change ourselves..
Lovely to be back reading…. I am afraid time for me these days have just vanished as two weeks have just flown by..
Now to find your post you said was due on the 13th… lol…
Blessings your way Erika.. ❤

Yes, that is the little big secret: What we send out we will find again. It can be applied in every area of our lives. What we believe in (not what we try to think) will most likely be.
I don’t know anymore of which post we were talking to be honest… but I am glad you found this one. As always, I so appreciate your profound comments. I am honored that you take the time to read them and leave a comment.
Have a wonderful evening, Sue 💖

What an incredibly powerful poem, Erika. We often struggle to let go and let God. The perfect message for the pre-holiday season!

I so love this poem. I know it from my first book I read from Wayne Dyer “Your Sacred Self”. A book that changed my life.

That’s the big secret of controlling our thoughts. It is all about the way we think that affects the way we feel, which affects what we send out and experience in the end. Thank you, Keith.

I just did a comment on another blog and it may be relevant here…
I, personally, found a very interesting thing in my travels. The energy of love attracts to us wherever we are at, and if we fear something that is exactly what it attracts so that we can face and go through the lesson and understand why we are in that place. So in all the years that I had ‘blocked, transmuted, changed, begged’ the energy I had attracted to go its way, I always kept bringing it back. And then when I finally stepped through my fear (stubborn things but great teachers)…it stopped. It only, finally, dawned on me that ‘I’ will always attract by where I am at within myself. Yes, we learn to keep it at bay, as the lovely lady had so beautifully explained in her post, but then we run into it a little further down the track. But when I removed the ‘attractor’ (my fears) within me it did something interesting, it now flows on by…I can feel it, but, it no longer has anything to hold because I’m not in that place within any more. And in fact I can now read hearts so much more clearer because of that removal. It is no longer interfering with the message I’m being asked to hear in any healing.
And also to you Erika, thank you for sharing a wonderful heartfelt post dear lady, and a Merry Christmas to you and yours. May your attractor only be Santa 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🎅🏽 🕊 🎄 🎁 ⛄️

Wow, that is such a profound insight and experience, you are sharing here. I can completely relate that what we are confronted with is a reflection of what we carry inside. Through the obstacles we recognice in the outside world wee we get pushed to solve the issue and heal our inner world…. that is such an amazing insight. Awesome! That’s why we only get as much as we are able to carry. It is always connected to our inner issues. Your inspiration is priceless, Mark. Thank you for being here with us 💖

Although it may be easier said than done… it is the only tool to keep us from desperation and keep the view towards the light where the solution lies.

Something that scares me now, about modern living, and the effect of this pandemic, is that children, and some from quite a young age, are worrying, because they pick-up vibes from all of us around them. That is hard to see, Sis.
And I see it in anxiety ridden behaviours within my class of 4-5 year old. Not all, but some of these children who are so aware of what is happening in the world, and who end up worrying, constantly, and withdraw into themselves…

I hear you, sis. The kids are relying on the adults because they believe they know it all. Now, if even those adults (parents, experts, teachers,…) are obviously scared, spread insecurity and fear, what else shall they believe? Those people don’t even need to say something, the kids feel the vibration. The kids in that age from 3 – to 5 don’t remember anything than the pandemic situation. I think our task is it to learn to teach the kids how to handle such a situation not to be scare of it. But that means, we need to be able to find a way to handle it ourselves with steadfastness… a task!

Precisely, Sis. It’s a bit of a double edged sword, isn’t it? But we have to do what we can to avoid worry in these little ones!
