Be A Mender

I just stumbled over this post which I wrote a few years ago. This is still (or again) so timely when we look at the gender discussions, and the aggressions and separations we create due to COVID.

Our world is a collection of varieties. Too often, we look at them as reasons for separation. That’s human in some way since we always look at the world from our own perspective. There is basically nothing wrong with that. We need that to develop individually. But there is this other side we must not forget: We all develop individually, and therefore we need a variety that everyone gets served. It is neither right nor wrong. It simply is. And what is, exists for a reason.

What I may not understand may not be meant for me or maybe it is not meant for me yet. There is no reason to deny, to eliminate, to denounce. Not understanding should rather force me to figure it out because there must be a reason why it caught my attention. As long as it is not something that obviously threatens me, there is no need for defense. Instead, we should stand in awe, realizing what a miracle it is that there is something or someone perfectly adjusted for everybody and in every given moment. It is for the purpose of proving, of challenging, of lifting up, of motivating, to explore, to discover, to improve, …

By recognizing this perfect organization that not only serves the individual but at the same time a group of people or even everybody at the same time is proof that we are meant to be here. That each one of us is important and that we as a collective are important. No one is forgotten – maybe by the human mates but not by that higher consciousness that made this possible. Let’s do ourselves a favor and see this divine gift, this love, and dedicated care for each and every being.

Let’s reach hands instead of crushing dreams. Let’s show respect and appreciation for the diversity and endless possibilities that come with expanding horizons. Let’s embrace it instead of ignoring it. Let’s connect instead of disconnect. We all want: to live a happy life. The ways to get there may be different, but the goal is the same. Let’s grant it to others as we want it for ourselves. Let’s realize that we are starting to judge whether something is right or wrong with someone or whether someone deserves more or less. Who am I to judge? Most of us may not be enlightened yet, and I think the more we dare to judge others or think we have the right to tell them how to live their lives, the less we are.

Let’s stop this.
Let’s heal rifts.
Let’s build bridges that everybody may walk over them.
Let’s open our hearts and minds for the fullness of life.
Let’s be menders!

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Hi Erika – I volunteered at a major Toronto hospital for a little over 2 years in their Crisis Intervention unit, and it was a wonderful (and life changing) experience in so many ways. In that environment, everybody was treated as equal … regardless of colour, race, religion, rich, poor, sexual orientation etc.

I wish more people would educate themselves in such environments. The world would, in general, be so much happier.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Colin. That is when the look goes to what really matters. Gender, skin color, race, cultures… become secondary naturally. I can imagine very well how this teaches oneness and to honor the being and the gift of life.

Everyone has a purpose and reason for being on this earth. All is connected to the creation as a whole. If everyone demonstrated kindess and compassion towards one another then the world be brightened more.

And well said Erika, the final gift is that very answer. To realise we are indeed one body but on a journey of separation so we can understand that very thing. Beautifully written dear lady, you were so wise even back then 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Actually, we all know that power lies in unity. Unfortunately, that thought has not been applied in its complete meaning. But I am positive, that the world comes closer and closer to that awareness. Thank you so much, dear Mark.

Finding that beauty is like breathing clean fresh air…just too many people holding their breath and can’t understand why they don’t feel well. Love is the same, being open, trusting with a smile…but poking all who come near with a stick and wonder why they feel isolated 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

You brought up such a good example, Mark. People hold their breath and wonder why they cannot breathe. Would you allow me to quote you with this sentence: “just too many people holding their breath and can’t understand why they don’t feel well.” And for security reasons, please, confirm that it is your words. Big hugs!
