#PoeticTuesday

As you can see from the title, I have decided to expand the range of topics for poems on Tuesdays. For the most part, the poems remain romantic, but I am often inspired by other things that I would like to share. Since I can’t find the time to post more often, I choose this option. Ultimately though, it’s always about love anyway, just not always the romantic kind.

Fresh and New

Don’t need to live in happiness
But just without the need
To cling to things I’m longing for
Which grow inside like weed

In looking back and hoping for
Something out of my hand
I cannot free myself from chains
That I myself have made

If I want my dreams to unfold
I have to break that chain
Let fly in sweet serenity
What got stuck in my brain

I turn around and feel the boost
Now raised above the scene
I’m looking down with only love
Awaiting what’s therein

Will neither let go of my dreams
nor of this love I feel within
But I will curiously go
With the proverbial wind

I leave the past and pain behind
Start confidently new
I know that everything is well
What’s meant that will come true

In Love and Light

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Erika, well done, my friend. These middle two stanzas speak to me the most:

In looking back and hoping for
Something out of my hand
I cannot free myself from chains
That I myself have made

If I want my dreams to unfold
I have to break that chain
Let fly in sweet serenity
What got stuck in my brain

We too often chain ourselves to unproductive thinking that hold us book. Instead of “why” we need to ask “why not?” Keith

That is THE transformation in our attitude and the way we are asking. I published a quote that says: “Why not? What if…?”
It was interesting to see that many related to the negative thought reflex of “What if… it goes wrong?”while it was meant to be like “What if… it worked out?” It made a few ponder.

Erika, interesting exercise. Yet, when you think about it, the art of asking for a date is the ultimate “what if?” question. If you never asked, you would never know if he, she or they said yes. As I have written before, “no” is an answer we should not be afraid of. Keith

Exactly! I think the worst thing we can do to ourselves is never trying only because we are a afraid of a particular answer or outcome. It will be haunting for the rest of the life. But if we tried and even if it was a “No” from life or from a person, then we can say we did what we could and can lay it at rest.

Anything we feel is indeed a pointer to that, and a guidepost to where we want to be. The power of expression, be it words, song or even a look…is that beauty we hold within us. Even in our anger we, and others, can feel the blocking and the pain it causes and go finding a way out of it because we only want to be in that one place. Your words are singing that inner place and even gives others courage to stand within it. Take a bow heart singer 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
