5 Lessons to Live by

Most of you may know that I have been a big fan of Dr. Wayne Dyer. The first book of his I read has found me miraculously – not the other way around – and it changed my life. I had read lots of great books before, such as The Law of Attraction, The Power of Now, The Secret, and many others. But just this one book was the central piece of the puzzle that connected all the aspects flying around in my little universe into and fundamental basis for my personal journey to awareness.

It was March 2009, for the first time in my life I was in California. We were there to visit an old school friend and my best buddy from high school. While there, my husband and I traveled to Santa Rosa for a job interview. We were waiting for the boarding call at LAX. About a half hour before our scheduled departure, we heard from the loudspeakers that the flight had been delayed an hour due to a snowstorm in Reno. So what to do? Off to the airport bookstore!

Yes, I learned English in school, even business English, and it had been my most successful subject. But I never read a book in English. I had no idea how soon that would change. I was heading towards the spirituality corner and checked the book titles. One title caught my attention like a flashing billboard: Your Scared Self. I had to buy this book – but not for me, but for my friend who suffered from mental problems at that time. I looked into the table of content, and again, one chapter caught my attention instantly: Shut down your inner dialogue. It was the perfect book, and I needed to read it. Maybe I could gain more insights and support my friend better. The author was a Wayne W. Dyer, whom I had never heard of before. However, the title Your Scared Self and that one chapter made me buy this book intuitively. I started reading the first paragraphs, and by only opening the book, something happened. I felt like entering a world I knew but forgot about it. I felt like coming home.

It wasn’t until two weeks later that I realized I had misread the title. It was not Your Scared Self but Your Sacred Self. I would never have bought it if I had read the title correctly. Six months later I was back in California and attended the first lecture of the Father of Motivation in Santa Monica.

If you are open to everything but attached to nothing, you see what you believe in.
If your heart is open for answers, you will receive them.
If you trust your inner voice, you will never be deceived.

Lately, I stumbled over the following video on Facebook which inspired me for this post. It is an excerpt of a lecture and touches 5 of 10 lessons Wayne Dyer writes about in his book 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. I recommend it from my heart that you take 10 minutes and watch it. It may give you those crucial insights that can change your life, at the moment, you consider applying them (or even only one of the lessons) in your life.

Doing me dear lady, doing me. It took a little while but it is like anything we do, there is a learning cycle first and as time goes by we become that learning that speaks our heart.
Great post dear lady, he does indeed speak from that heart he has become 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
