What is the problem when someone is craving love? That person is convinced that love is outside of them, something that needs to be earned. They think that they don’t have it and therefore are in a place where they experience a lack of love. When we think we don’t have something, it causes us to feel a lack. That energy is sent out, and the universe will answer with the same energy. It is the energy of the feeling of “not having”. What we send out will come back: not having! The irony is that in not understanding that universal law, those people feel even confirmed by the experience of the consequences, and a long-lasting vicious circle can be the result that affects all parts of their lives.

Until the moment, when something happens that makes them see the misunderstanding. I said it before, life will lead to that point. It simply depends on what needs or wants to be experienced to “remember who you really are”. It depends on the openness which is part of the process. But it will happen. Interestingly, some people claim that they are open, see the signs and follow them, and are positive, but when you look closer they have their own definition of openness and look out for certain signs but are blind to those many around them. Is it bad? No, not at all, it is part of the journey to enlightenment. As I said two weeks ago: We all have our own pace and path to our many destinations in life. It is all good and perfectly matching our way. We often need life’s hard lessons to rise like a phoenix after we learn them.

However, once the moment has come and maybe for the first time in my life, I feel the immense power of love that I am, nothing will stay the same anymore. A huge transformation process begins because all of a sudden, I am in alignment with who I am and with all that I am: spiritually, physically, past, present, and future. It is one big picture that opens up in the most beautiful light. It may sound like a long process, but in fact, it happens in a single moment. In the twinkle of an eye, this understanding changes life instantly and profoundly. It is like putting on glasses for the first time and seeing the difference in the eyesight. You see more, you see further, you see wider, and you see it all in one context.

I understand so clearly that all that hurt me were not people or circumstances. It was me hurting myself in the first place by the unloving and destructive attitude I turned against myself. That realization is both the most liberating breakthrough moment and the most loving way of embracing the being I treated so badly. The moment when I feel the love I am is that moment when I can forgive myself with all my heart: I forgive myself that the love I was looking for was only denied by me.

With this insight, everything changes. Since love fills me, there is no room for resentment, anger, greed, self-doubt, or fear. I don’t even feel a lack of anything anymore. I may not have possessions or abilities other people have, but it doesn’t appear as a lack anymore. It is a fact, it is recognized, and it is ok. Because I see the abundance I am and who everybody is. And guess what: The universe answers with the energy of abundance.

When you are loved, you will receive love because all you see is love.
