Sitting here upon that rock
Watching the birds pass by.
With every flap something within
Has loosened, wants to fly.

I watch the waves and their calming sound.
I see them come and go.
I feel them washing off what kept
me stuck in my heart’s flow.

I see the sun setting slowly
And everything gets still.
My heart and mind in silent peace;
No rush, no forcing will.

The night is coming piece by piece.
But there’s no darkness seen.
Because my liberated soul
Is shining from within.
