Still, too many people with power think differently!

Inviting and reuniting are wonderful too

Oh, yes, that is a very good additional thought. It grows even deeper bonds.

how beautiful to believe and live in such a way

Let’s do it in our small worlds… maybe it can affect the big world too.

Erika, this is a powerful statement and applies to all walks of life. I have long espoused a mantra which is simple – Religion is at its finest when it includes; it is at its worst when it excludes. Preaching exclusion is a self-fulfilling prophecy – you drive people away. However, being a big tent religion which welcomes people, will attract people. I once witnessed a multi-denominational church minister called Pastor Flo ask for people to offer prayer requests. She proceeded to pray including all 40 or so of the prayer requests. I was amazed to see how much effort she put in to get it right. Keith

People like her understand the positive power of unity. I like your mantra about religion. I feel the same way about it. How could a loving God exclude anyone? So, if a religion does, does that religion really act in God’s interest? Thanks for adding this, Keith!

Well said. Thanks for your comment. I have a friend who has what she calls an “orphan” Thanksgiving for anyone who cannot travel home for the holiday. She and her husband will often have 40 or so friends over for the holiday meal. They sit all over the house eating pot luck dishes each has brought. I love this unity. Keith

Yes, that is unity in action. What a beautiful way of spending the holidays too. It is a joy for everyone and strengthens the bonds. Thanks for mentioning your friend’s tradition, Keith.

It only leads to isolation and less diversity.

It does! Billions of lone warriors… a war that takes everyone.

This is the hard part the letting it happen. So much of what we carry is about trying to make it, earn it, prove it. But if we’re already the miracle, then maybe the real work is just stepping out of our own way and trusting that. Thank you for this reminder.

We are biases, I am not excluding myself, but we must work on a different mindset. Even if the reflex says “BUT I don’t like, how she/he wears the hair”, we can say STOP and overwright that reflex, over and over again. The important thing is that we see the meaning and result of unity compared to separation. We can only make it together on this planet… or we will knock our own species out.

Very true, Erika 👍 Exclusion can’t lead to uniting, but can lead to separation and division.

Exactly, and both are no constructive tools but only keep destroying.

No indeed Erika, it creates a disconnection, a weakening of what we are. Love increases that connection 🤗❤️🙏

Yes, it all comes down to love. And love only unites. Because love knows that only together we make one whole! Thank you, Mark 💖
