When times are busy, you often don’t have the time to deal with happenings as you should. Your emotions must wait until you find a spot in your agenda to turn to your inner being. Sometimes, you may even forget that to take care of yourself and what happened settled deep and is hard to find again. But it is there and can haunt you and surface unexpectedly. Maybe you don’t even remember, what the reason for specific feelings was.
It is a long way back to analyze your feelings and get deeper down to the root. Often the emotional symptoms are so painful that you don’t even dare to dig deeper, afraid of finding even more painful things. It is quite a process then to simply embrace yourself and tell you that all is well, that you are fine, and that it is ok to feel sad, scared, and insecure. Sometimes this is all it needs: Accepting that you are filled with life and your history which shaped you into the unique person you are today. Letting go is only an allowance to accept yourself the way you are and move on from there.
We might not always find the thorn that causes our inner turmoil and fights. But if we show ourselves love, this thorn can disappear. We take away its power over us because we accept that we have a history and are not perfect to become perfect. When we let love flow, we know that all is well and that everything we had to go through may have been necessary to find the love within again to recognize how healing feels.
When you feel sad or confused, embrace yourself instantly.
There is no better time to do it.

Hi, Lisa, that’s the point! We need to accept ourselvest the way we are, with everything that made and makes us and that took us to that point to begin accepting ourselves. Nobody is perfect, yet we all are. Because we are always at the point we are supposed to be to get to the point we are meant to arrive. Hugs, Erika

This is such a timely post for me, as I have been visited by old wounds I thought had long ago healed. Shining a light on them!

Indeed, timely! I think this happens on and off. We think we got it and then another episode happens. But yes, I believe it is just life that pushes us a bit closer to the real insight and therefore to ourselves. Sending you big hugs, Jan💖

Instead of going off the deep end, we need to embrace ourselves tighter and let love overflow inside.

Nobody is perfect and that is what we all have in common. Still, there is a lot of pressure society can put on one or the influence from childhood days that showing emotions, not reaching a particular goal, or not meeting expectations are signs of weakness of worthlessness. It is quite a journey to go beyond that curtain of illusion.

From the moment we are born we are influenced, shaped, molded, guided, etc….so much intake and as you say “quite a journey to go beyond that curtain of illusion.” Yet it is doable.

Indeed Erika, now is that time, and to make it a habit. It is a long journey, filed with slow awakenings, painful turns and an inner belief system ever needing an understanding. And we will with many experiences to show us that way home, some good, some bad. But slowly fine tuning the color of that light within us until it becomes a joy. Beautifully written kind lady, I can hear all those experiences speaking from that very light. Thank you for sharing it 🤗❤️🙏

Step by step we get guided towards ourselves. There are times when acceptance and letting go is the only way to survive, and the greatest healing to experience. Thank you, Mark.

There is so much resistance in ourselves against ourselves. Often we don’t even recognize that we fight and therefore weaken ourselvses. One step back and observing the person who got stuck can already work wonders. Thank you, Martina 💖

Explains quite a bit and makes such common sense (and it such a comfort) ❤

Resistance can be so painful and we only fight ourselves with it. Only because we may think we don’t fulfill a concept we think we have to suffice. The more we accept ourselves the more authentic we are and the more we are even able to embrace ourselves… resistance disappears 💖
