Relief
Liberation doesn’t come
From passing on your pain
To others who are not
In charge – that is in vain
It makes no burden lighter
But those of others worse
What you tried to drop
Multiplied returns
You cannot change the past
Not what you did or others
But you can break that spell
Of hurting one another
If you want to be free
Forgive yourself and those
Then pull the thorn and bury it
To grow a beautiful rose
In Love and Light

Forgiving yourself first is a must and you let go and move onward.

And it is probably most difficult to forgive yourself. But once that happened, the lightness and at the same time energy that comes back is indescribable.

Yes, I agree. Sometimes we carry that unforgiving energy towards ourselves for too long. It is definitely soul relieving.
