No need to turn back time
I wish I could forget
What in the past went wrong
Although I meant it well
I was weak and not strong
If I could turn back time
There’s so much I would say
So much I see that I
Would love to change today
What is the use of crying
I think it has to hurt
To learn my lesson well
Cause that is how things work
So, no way to get bitter
Blaming me all life long
The lesson that I learned
Is meant to make me strong
All that I can do now
Is change my point of view
Leave my old me behind
And start over anew
It wasn’t the last time
Life is a constant study
The insights of our deeds
Do come in hindsight, and not for free
In Love and Light
Beautiful. Everyday should be lived and learned from ❤️

I agree. There will always be something we would do differently today but that is why we learn not to repeat things we don’t want to regret later. Thank you, Gary 💖

We cannot change the past and hindsight is 20/20 but we can learn and live to allow ourselves the opportunity to grow from the experiences. Insightful and soul stirring poem, Erika 🌞

Erika, this is extremely well done and poignant. The reflection throughout, but in particular at the end in the last stanza, is meaningful. It made me think of all of the poor moves and word choices I have made over time. I did learn from them, but sometimes it took a while. Thanks for these words of truth. Keith

I am completely with you, Keith. In some situations we remember and the fact, that we regret from the heart is the insight we need to not repeat what we did or said. As you said, sometimes it takes a while until we learn. Thank you so much for this wonderful comment, Keith.

I used to ask “why”. As I matured I understood and could see the benefit of coming out the other side stronger. 👀🍃

Exactly, I think that is part of our development. One day, we realize that healing lies in seeing the past as a school book that teaches us. The past is not meant to keep us in its claws. Thank you, Gail.

That is a fantastic summary: Be the change! Guilt is basically weakening but once we transform it into insight, we create an unknown strength from it. Thank you so much, Andrea.
