Who has not experienced it yet? Life confronts you with something you really don’t like to deal with. It may be something you successfully ignored, or someone else solved it for you. But for some reason, it seems to come back like a boomerang. Again, you don’t feel like dealing with it. May it be because it makes you anxious or forces you to look at a part inside yourself that you have been hiding and maybe even forgot about it. Maybe, you even thought you made it over it – until a situation happened in which you realized you did not. Not at all!
There is this point in life when turning away, wanting others to solve your issue, or distracting is not working anymore. It is that time when life says: “It’s enough. You postponed the task too often and for too long.” And you have no other chance than to look at it, take it, and end it by yourself. It is human that we try to avoid triggering anything that could bring us into situations that put us in the driver’s seat. Where there was always someone around to step in and make you get away, all of a sudden, no one is there any more to take the steering wheel. That can be even scarier. But since you never learned to make it on your own, life needs to take all possibilities to escape.
But no worries, the task may appear much bigger and more overwhelming than it really is. It only feels like it because you thought it would be that way. And every time you turned away, you added a bit of the negative thoughts that made it grow. However, once you take it to heart, and just go for it, you’ll quickly see that you actually have help on your side. But now, the help you receive is no longer an ease of your task but help for self-help. You learn to master the matter and find constructive ways alone and with support.
The tasks are not getting easier, but you are becoming stronger.
Erika Kind
How often have I thought that I could slip through again, only to see the wave coming back later again and even a bit higher. After a certain point running away was not possible anymore, and I had to face my fears and demons. Every time we do that, we not only untie a task of daily life but also a knot in our soul’s plan. Of course, we cannot be sure, if there are more knots on the same subject. But each time it gets a little easier. Because each time, we experience again that in the end, we do not emerge weaker but stronger, more self-confident, and more relaxed from a difficult situation.
You are the Phoenix.
You are your own salvation.
You are more than any challenge you may encounter.
On a side-note: This post was inspired by me reading about Empress Sisi’s life-long desperate attempts to escape the court ceremonial and herself. The older she got, the more she traveled the world – the tragedy of a broken and restless soul.

That’s such a truth. And since we spent our whole incarnation with ourselves, we should make peace with ourselves.

Sometimes you just have to say f*** it and face whatever it is head on and you will get through it. Thanks for an inspiring post!

Yes, exactly! Look into the mirror, recognize the distortion and lift the veil. It only needs a bit of courage and the willingness to accept changes that go along with the discovery.
You are welcome and thank you for your comment, Sylvester!

Erika, well said, my dear friend. Your first quote reminds me of the professional golfer who was asked what the toughest distance was for him to play. He said “the six inches between my ears.” The biggest obstacle to our success is those six inches. Keith

I love that! It is always the mind that makes THE difference. Since we own that mind, we are to learn to master it for our own benefit. Thanks for that quote, Keith!

Erika, you are welcome. Golf is a great teacher on handling life as it truly is a game of managing mistakes. The mind can be a huge obstacle in dealing with your mistakes. Keith

Oh, yes, it can make us stand in our own way… or gets us out of our way… it depends on our awareness to control it. Thanks for your interesting adds, Keith. I never played golf but I can imagine well that it needs that controlled mind to be good in it.

Your story is becoming stronger dear lady, building from that wisdom gained. Beautiful post, thank you for sharing your story ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
I read an amazing book once, the adventures, the struggles and the fears building this tale into something amazing. I could barely put it down, but afraid to go on. Even the quiet moments were just a rest before achieving something from what went before, building a hope for what is to come. It is that amazing I can’t put it down now…it won’t let me…and now I don’t think I even want to. The writing is on the wall…of my heart. I can hear it now where before it was just a murmur. But the peace and love that is wound into this story is so cleverly written that at first it is unseen, only to come forward as the hero finds that gift awaiting within after suffering for its understanding and finally breaking free to save the world…his/her world…to then tell that story and pass it forward with a smile found within it…the smile of a love found. As you have done here 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Isn’t it so often that those little incidents, seemingly meaningless encounters, or happenings can work in the background because they are the necessary trigger to induce an important process in us. I so understand what you are telling us here and I am amazed by the way you are doing it. It is in the suffering that shows us our greatest strength. It is in our dives where we find our deepest treasures. We would never go there voluntarily, so the universe will always find ways to take us there… and it all happens only with love for us to discover our greatest treasures. Thank you for your beautiful words, Mark. You should think about writing a book. (Hmm, I think I said that once before… lol)

Lol…yes, I hear an echo in here somewhere 🤣 Thank you for your kind words Erika, I think we all do ‘touch’ those bits and know we are going through something and then in hindsight appreciate what we have been through. Life is indeed a magical thing, that magic called love. I see it in everything, literally, as when it is understood you can truly relate to God, even within myself, even among the trips and stumbles is something so profound as we feel it all so we can understand ❤️ 🙏🏽
The book is on the cards dear lady, even Spirit is nudging me a bit. I ‘feel’ there is still a bit to go, even to the point of packing my home up. I have absolutely no intention of moving anywhere…but it is just sitting on the edge of my mind so further events are there. Maybe that’s why my computer, the hacking etc is nudging me away from them to the book. Even though the push isn’t really strong yet but we shall see. Maybe I’ll run into something soon that will start the ball rolling in whatever direction is needed. Have a beautiful day my friend, may your nudges keep your heart open 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Mark, your words bring so much peace to my most inner world. The love you are talking about flows from your lines straight to my heart. This love is expanding itself and creating a calm strength. I can hardly describe the feeling but it is amazing.
Yes, may Spirit keep nudging to make you ready for your book. You would bring so much light and healing into this world.

sometimes it does feel as if there is no escape! But facing fears is so important! Facing fears makes us stronger! Xx

That’s right! Our fears are the door to freedom and to development. Fear only tells us that we reached the end of our comfort zone. Thank you so much, Carol.

Hmm, I don’t know, to be honest. I saw documentation and the musical, went to several exhibitions, and had my grandfather telling me about Austrian history. But I have never read a complete book of her life although her mystery and magic have caught my attention from childhood on.

Thank you very much. I think this is something so many can relate to. And so often we don’t even notice that we are trying to escape from ourselves only to be thrown back at where we started.
