#JustAThought… It’s a Choice, Not a Destiny

It is still a phenomenon to me, how some people want something so badly, but don’t do anything but dream to reach their dreams. Don’t get me wrong, dreaming is important to let an inner picture become a vision of what we want to achieve or become. Keeping that dream alive is important because it feeds the belief in that vision to be realized. But then, when the universe actually lays out opportunities and situations before them that lead to the happiness they so long for, they sit back. What are they waiting for? When conditions change in favor of what is desired, it is for the purpose of seizing the opportunities that open up. The work, however, is not taken from us. Only the conditions are created, so that we can realize our visions thereby better. We are not in the land of milk and honey, where fried chicken fly into our mouths. And even if, we are, we still have to chew and swallow ourselves.

But some people still seem to get it wrong. Even when opportunities knock on their door, they are too afraid to open that door and walk out. They rather stay in a life they cannot stand. It is interesting to observe that they still feel like victims. They see the longed-for dream flying toward them, but they wait to be carried by it instead of seizing it. From their point of view, they are unlucky and excuse themselves with the fact that it was not meant for them, that the circumstances (still) don’t let them, or that they have to be patient until the universe means well with them. They don’t see that it was up to them for not acting, for not seizing the opportunity, for not risking change. An opportunity is only worth as much as the willingness to change and the effort it requires.

Many still believe that “the others” have to change for their lives to change for the better or that others should organize everything for them so that they just go into their new lives. But this works only to a limited extent or only for a short time until these people no longer feel like dragging them along. If they are always waiting for someone to tell them to lift their left foot and then their right foot, they will never learn to walk independently. They keep watching others realize their visions by jumping out of their comfort zone and just taking their chances. And again, they ask themselves: Why always me? But if words are not followed by actions, life will always lead back to the old ways. When opportunity knocks on the door, a window of opportunity opens up for you to take advantage of it. If you wait too long, it closes. Life goes on and circumstances can become complicated, possibly setting you back years.

Basically, it is the personal decision of everyone how far they want to use the given chances. Everyone acts out of their state of consciousness and readiness, and it is their right to wait until they feel ready. Anyway, they must understand that if they wait too long, opportunities can fly away from them before they feel ready. Not taking advantage of an opportunity is also a decision – for whatever reason. There are no excuses. It wasn’t anyone else’s fault or force majeure. It is hard to confess that the one’s inaction played a big part in why they got stuck at a certain point in life. But igonring it, won’t bring the desired change. When oppportunities knock on one’s door there is a time window

Some are planting their seeds and are growing their desired food.
Others who sit and watch them have to swallow what life does or does not feed them.

Life is for living – not for being lived.

At least, I think so…
