A Trip to Our Higher Regions

Yesterday afternoon we made a little trip to the hiking and skiing region of our country. Yes, for once, we stayed in little Liechtenstein instead of going to neighboring Switzerland. Here we also have many beautiful and different areas, despite the small size of the country. The small village is called Steg and is (like Malbun) in the warm season a popular starting point for many hikes. In winter, there are some cross-country skiing trails here. The ski lifts are located in the neighboring community of Malbun.

Yesterday we walked along the small but picturesquely situated reservoir as well as around the brook flowing into it. The weather could finally be called “summery” again. Enjoy the trip!

But there is still something missing 🤔
Certainly… ice cream and coffee for me, and cake and coffee for my husband 😄

Oh rub it in, rub it in! You didn’t happen to enjoy those did you? 😂 🤣
Lovely country Erika, and I love the little home out in the middle of the lake. The resident geese/ducks island paradise? I think I could live there…with them 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣

Haha, nice that you noticed that raft for the geese. It looks so cute. But… hmm… I don’t know if you would be happy for too long in there… lol… you know… no chocolate 🤷

Awh, so sweet of you to say, Amy 💖 I know what you mean with “you”. Yes, I am very thankful for the area I happen to live. I think the older I become the more I am aware what a blessing it is. Thank you, dear 💖

Is that snow I see on top of some of the mountains, Erika? I guess it’s there all year? Looking at your photos, I can’t help but want to sing ‘The hills are alive with the sound of music.’
I’d have gone for ice cream and tea after that walk.
Beautiful scenery and beautiful photography.

You are right, on one picture there is a mountain still with some traces of snow. I did not even notice… lol.
No problem, they have tea too. It was a lovely atmosphere sitting there, enjoying everything and being treated with those sweets… hehe.
