What Goes Around Comes Around

I don’t think there is anyone who has never faced challenges, whether they were self-imposed or triggered by something or someone outside – actually, they are always self-imposed, but we’ll get to that later. Also, a challenge to me does not equal a challenge to you. If I’ve ordered a meal and it’s only lukewarm when it’s served, I can make a big drama out of it, politely ask for it to be warmed up, or I can just think, “So what.” A problem is only a problem if I call it a problem. It’s subjective. So, when something is triggered in me to create the image of a problem, it always has to do with me.

I suggest that you listen to this beautiful piece of music while you read on:

Why do things bother me that don’t bother you? Because it shows me what I need to work on. Certain traits that arise in me in certain situations are a sign that something in me needs to be resolved. Now, I can try to excuse my feelings with the poor quality of the food and blame the waiter or the cook for me being upset. Or I can even thank them (inwardly) for showing me that there is something in me that causes such aggressive reactions – which already contributes to the resolution. This is, of course, a very simple example. There can be very deep feelings of frustration, despair, depression, anxiety, sadness, anger, betrayal, hatred lying dormant within one, just waiting for the right moment to resurface. Is this a curse or a punishment? Not at all! It is a natural consequence to learn from the laws of duality. Unfortunately, we learn best and fastest from pain. It is a sign of negative energies that we are holding on to. Since our true nature is well-being, all negative energies will cause pain in us. It shows what we are not or what does not belong to us.

Let’s look at the many reasons we are here? We want to experience life with all senses. We want to make things visible and manifest a part of ourselves. We want to play different roles for ourselves but also for others. But the main reason that lies beneath this all is: We want to remember the feeling of who we are. Therefore, we need the oppositions that we can find in this world. We need to play the role of the bad guy and maybe create karma. We need to fall into the dark abyss. We need to experience who we are definitely not, to recognize the pureness of light and love that we are. We need to forget who we are to have the full experience of revealing piece by piece of our real being.

It is not the role of the victim that we have to come over, but the role of the perpetrator. In each incarnation, we take something into our programs to work through some of the dark things we did in a previous incarnation. Life provides us with situations that put us in the opposite role (the victim) to experience the other side. Blockages, feelings within us that scare us, meeting similar people over and over again, or situations that bring out the worst in us are all signposts. It makes no sense to blame others or circumstances for how we feel. It is our system that catches the impulse that pushes the buttons of our program. The problem – the pain within us – already carries the solution. But we have to dare to look. It’s not fun to face the darkness, but once you do, you will see that on the other side shines a bright light. On the other side waits forgiveness – forgiveness that you give yourself. Whatever scary feelings may surround you now, they are not who you are but a tool to find exactly that out. The worst thing that can happen is salvation.

Remember that every act of kindness comes back to you as well.
Whatever good you experience shows what beautiful things you must have done.
So why not start right now to create a future in which you want to find yourself?

Yes, like with everything, with every change, it starts with oneself and not with “the others”. Whatever is going on in my life has to do with me and what I have to learn from it. Thank you, Gary!

Erika, good post. I must confess, I found the words of wisdom from a songwriting poet named John Lennon has some relevance here. From “Instant Karma,”

“Instant karma’s gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you’re gonna be dead

What in the world you thinking of
Laughing in the face of love
What on earth you tryin’ to do?
It’s up to you, yeah you!

Instant karma’s gonna get you
Gonna look you right in the face
You better get yourself together darling
Join the human race

How in the world you gonna see
Laughing at fools like me?
Who on earth d’you think you are?
A superstar? Well right you are!”

Lennon speaks plainly. It is up to us. Life will throw stuff at you, so how you react sets you on the path. And, that kindness you did for someone will come back to help you, just like the betrayal will haunt you. I am reminded of all the people who helped George Bailey when he needed it in “It’s a wonderful life.” Keith

Keith, I completely forgot about this song. Thank you so much for sharing the lyrics. Karma is just the best teacher. It doesn’t ever let you away with anything. And once we finally understand, we will understand the victim role, stand up and make something good from it. It truly is a wonderful life once we begin to understand it’s rules and live by them. Thank you, Keith!

That’s exactly it. Last Monday I wrote about truth, how everybody has their own personal truth, and how each truth is true. Because from their we create our personal journey to healing. Thank you very much for visiting, I am pleased this post spoke to you. Have a nice rest of your day!

What we put out from our inner being will return to us in one form or another. Pain will break us down and bring to light more of our true nature and character. There is always something brighter on the other side of darkness, which is temporary and we only need to face it and go through it. A very good and thoughtful post, Erika. Thank you for sharing your insights.

We are the summary of our history and we will have to expereince many of the things we cannot even imagine that we were the ones doing this ot others once. But it is necessary to experience the victim side to understand. Once in the victim role it is anything but helpful to blame the perpetrator for our situation but to understand that this is our chance to resolve our own deeds and actually, we need to thank the other person who helps us to get there while they may create karma for themselves.
Thank you very much, Sylvester!

Life truly is all about perspective. Karma is the Universe’s way of handling the consequences of life. It’s always beneficial to pause between choicing to respond or react to ask, “what would love do next”? I find when I can respond with that intention, I’m carrying on by my true nature. We’re all together in this. Takinhcare of the energy we carry and bring into any situation is what we receive from it. Insightful post today Erika, zi hope you have a great week ahead 🤗✨❤🙏
