Stardust And Spirit – Oneness In All That Is

“Humans are made up of more than 90 percent stardust. Most of the body’s atoms and molecules were once formed in stars.”

A few weeks ago, I heard this in a movie, and it intrigued me. As a result, I came across some interesting articles on the Internet, for example, one from the Stuttgarter Nachrichten. Here is a short excerpt:

The specific chemical composition turns stardust into a diamond, stone or plant, bacterium, insect, or a “Homo sapiens”. The cells in our bodies, the oxygen we breathe, the carbon and nitrogen in our tissues, the calcium in our bones – all come from stardust produced many billions of years ago and continues to be generated.

I find it fascinating since, especially in a greater context, it confirms that everything is one. We are many separate individuals but still connected by our composition. A connection, that connects us not only on an energetic or spiritual level but even on a physical level – and both are universal in origin, not only figuratively but also literally. Both, the physical and the spiritual parts in us come from the same source. The laws of the universe determine not only our spiritual development but at the same time and in harmony with each, other and also our physical development. Therefore, the idea that body, mind, and soul are one and thus can influence each other, heal each other, or make each other ill becomes even more comprehensible. It is an amazing thought that neither part of me is in opposition to another part. I am one in myself and we are one with each other – truly drops of one ocean or crumbs of one cake. Oneness has become an advanced meaning to me.

This thesis gives rise to a new thought for me: It is not possible to deny the spiritual, the universal energy, the Creator, etc., and at the same time believe in the origin of the universe, galaxies, and solar systems – or vice versa. You can’t have one without the other. If I believe in science, I may believe in the energy behind it as well, even if I don’t want to admit it. But no matter what we consciously believe in, we look up and are fascinated to be part of this unimaginable big whole.

It doesn’t even matter whether you don’t believe in one or the other, as long as you believe in one of them. The effect is the same: When you feel cut off from life, then look up, and you’ll feel the connection to everything and everyone. And don’t we all do this automatically when we are in a place of gratitude, joy, desperation, or when searching for solutions and answers? The view goes up! What a fantastic organized universe. It picks everyone up, no matter where they stand, and says: You are a part of us. You are not alone.

This all may sound simple and perhaps naive.
But God has never been complicated, we are.
Actually, everything would be so simple.

On a side note: I am not a scientist at all. There are much more mind-blowing scientific details behind this all, of course. I just wanted to share what made me stand in awe that I got a more advanced idea of what oneness could mean.
