Nothing Awaits You Behind You – Only Ahead of You!

Last week’s post, Reach A Hand And Find Peace, came about when I drew a card from my Gateway Oracle Cards deck. After drawing the card, I noticed another card that was a little dirty on the back. I took it out of the deck, cleaned it, and turned it over. It was clear that this card was meant to be drawn as well, since its meaning is a consequence of the one I discussed last week.

Life unfolds in cycles of becoming and passing away, of passing away and becoming. We begin something, evolve from it, and may one day grow beyond it. The same applies to every kind of relationship. Some last a lifetime; others are meant only for a specific period during which they had a purpose to fulfill. As soon as we let go of something that no longer serves our higher good, we create space for everything out there -and within us – that is waiting to enter our lives. When we turn our gaze away from something that has held us back in the past and instead look ahead, a new life unfolds right before us – a life full of chances and possibilities. The path to everything we wanted to become lies ahead of us, never behind us.

So we must stop holding on to feelings of guilt or fear about something that exists only in our memories or weighs on our daily lives. It makes no sense to keep a hobby, a friendship, a job, or any other relationship going simply because we once started it. Life is meant to evolve, and we are meant to evolve. So whatever happened in the past has led us to the insights we’ve gained only through those events. Nothing is meant to hold us back, but to prepare us. Once we realize this, we lay the foundation for the person we can become. We may feel uncertain at first – which is completely normal when sailing into uncharted waters – but this is the only way we’ll reach the shores we want to and are meant to reach.

Let’s look at the lessons an experience has taught us, see what we’ve developed from it, and use the time ahead of us to apply this knowledge to our lives. Because that’s what experiences are for.

Erika, what a powerful message. The image of turning away from the past and looking ahead, I can feel the shift in energy just reading it. We often hold on out of guilt or habit when the real growth lies in release. Thank you for this gift. 🙏

You made an important point in your comment. It is a “habit”. We hold on to the past as a habit and believe we are meant to do so. It can be out of selfguilt, or out of resentment for something that was once done to us. Both does not lead to a happy mind 💖

You said that well, indeed it is like claiming ownership… without being aware of it. And that is why it takes us so long to understand that we are chaining ourselves. Thank you for your comment, Jan 💖

That lesson in my past got me to go much deeper Erika. And because I dared to go beyond it, it showed me more. I began to attract the ‘healed’ me, all because I faced it, understood it, and set myself free of its holding pattern. And the horizon ahead glowed beautifully . Great post kind lady, may we ever face that light of our future 🤗❤️🙏

You describe just so beautifully how it feels when we begin to “see” and love ourselves again. That is it. Everything, our situation, our problems, our world view… everything looks differently because we understand ourselves, because we embrace ourselves and love flows through us in a way we never felt it before… yes, the healing begins instantly. Thank you so much for what you wrote here, Mark 💖

The past is giving us tools to use for our future. Sadly, for so many people, those tools never get taken out of the tool bag. For the rest of us however, they provide opportunities in areas we may have otherwise never dreamed of!

Absolutely, but as you already said, too many people view the past in a destructive rather than a constructive way. That’s what defines our life’s journey.. Thank you, Colin!

Good afternoon, Erika! ☀️

What an awesome reflection! 👍 You are absolutely right, when we move forward without looking at the past, we open the door to a new life full of possibilities and new chances. Also, I also like the card! ☺️

Have a very lovely week ahead, and may your new week be filled with happiness! ☺️

I agree, the card has so much to tell. Depending who looks at it will see different things that mean something to their lives. Reading cards is amazing!

Thank you, and you have a fantastic week yourself, Aptivi 😊
