Erika, since the world is populated by imperfect people, the funny things are out there, just nose around with an open mind. Walk down main street of cities and towns and read the store, restaurant and church signs. Misspellings alone will give you a laugh. Keith

That happened to me too, a few times. I thought I clicked on “reply” but then only “stepped” into the comment field and commented on my own post instead of replying to a comment… Was that what happened with your comment?

In the emails I’m sent of a sites comment I usually click the ‘comment’ or ‘like’ button at the bottom to go through to the site. The comment link just opens to the comment box…but if I keep reading more of the comments in that post I usually click ‘reply’ which usually opens a comment box to that person I’m commenting on. But every now and then it doesn’t seem to link to that person who has come in to comment but the site specifically.

I think what catches me out is I need to reestablish the session with that site…then make any comments or like. Coming in from the email comment and like buttons only connects with whoever I’m commenting on, not the site when I get there. So when I comment on another comment it hasn’t established the session so it just thinks i’m a new comment and puts it back at the top instead of the individual person I commented on.

I have to get into a habit of just clicking on the main link in the email (The post title), and then just go from there as it will establish the session and see where I’m at all the time. Sorry, it gets a bit confusing describing all that 🤣❤️🙏

Oh, well, that is quite a journey with potential of fail-leaded comments. Gosh! Yes, it might be the best way to go directly to the post and comment from there. I love doing it in the “comment” section on the right side when I am on WordPress. And if I need to see the previous comment or post it belongs to, I can go from there too. However, I hope you find a way that works for you and leads you where you want to arrive … oh. well, sounds like life 😄
