Erika, I like this. Often, the best solution may be the second or third try. You reminded of a story a CEO told me when he replaced the retired CEO who moved up to Chairman of the Board. He had just made a $10 million mistake early in his tenure. The Chairman told him not to sweat it, as he had paid him to take risks. He then added, try not to make too many $10 million mistakes. Good example again! What we have not experienced before has to be experienced… and yes, it is risky. That chairman was a wise and supportive.
