I don’t know what we did if there were more tourists as there already are. I work in the capital and whenever I look out of the window the pedestrian zone is flooded with tourists 😂 Thanks for sharing the link. That was funny 😄

Great movie even with their liberty with the truth. This is the best song in the movie in my opinion. Keith

I know, it is a classic favorite of Americans. Although filmed here, almost no one ever saw it. This still feels like a paradox to me.

Erika, I recently learned a reason for that. The movie is based off a play that was done that heightened the drama and Maria’s relationship with the children. The Captain actually had a good relationship with the kids and Maria was a little moody. The movie and play flipped the script. Also, the Captain thought very hard about the Nazi offer, but declined in the end. So, it did not do well in Austria. Keith

Maybe that is one of the reasons – could be. Sympathies with the Nazis have not been appreciated.
