Trust The Journey

Recently, my husband and I spent a weekend at a SPA hotel. For me, this means I got the chance to read one of the books I started a while ago. While checking my books, I came across THE book that caused the last and most meaningful impact on my journey of self-discovery: My Sacred Self by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. The story of how this book made me pick it is as stunning as the read. However, I saw the book and immediately flipped a few pages to a poem, I remembered. I don’t want to lose too many words but simply want to share this poem with you. It demonstrates how our impatience, arrogance, and/or desire to control destroys rather than fixes.

Broken Dreams

As children bring their broken toys
with tears for us to mend.
I brought my broken dreams to GOD
Because He was my Friend.

But then instead of leaving Him
in Peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.

At last, I snatched them back and cried
“How can You be so slow”?
“My child,” He said,
“What could I do?
You never did let go.”

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Wow. That poem was deep. I appreciate you sharing it with us. I’ll have to add that book to my list of books to read, too. You’ve always had a wonderful energy about yourself. Thanks for being awesome as always.

Hi, Anthony, so good to see you 😊I hope you are doing good!
I can highly recommend that book. It was exactly what I needed at that time to put all the fractures together to make one big picture. However, you can read any of Wayne Dyer’s books, you won’t regret it. He was called “the father of motivation”. But I say, he was way more. He was able to make you see the YOU in you. And through his books his teachings live on.
Have a good day, Anthony, and take care 💖

That took a lot of time for me, to ‘trust’ in something. And after a long, long time I did. I just had to get past what I was taught, intentionally and unintentionally…and finally realize that we must be un-trustful or we will not appreciate trust when we find it. This world has so many opposites in our feelings and emotions for a reason. And that trust we find…is the core of what our love is built on. Great post Erika, and the verse sums it up beautifully. Thank you for sharing your hearts trust 🤗❤️🙏

Oh, yes, yes, yes. We only know what trust means after we were untrustful, sceptic, and thought we always have to be in control. My son is such a great example for trusting. I think he never lost that trust and if things turn out differently, he flexibely adjusts the sails. He never gets nervous … he just trusts.
I am more coming from the same side like you, learning to trust when I had to and then exeperienced it in its full power. Relying on the love we are, that made us, that surrounds us, and that will always keep things in perfect balance. Thank you for this inspiring input again, Mark 💖

He had a way to reach into people just by sharing his message and he still does with his books and videos. His teachings have been life-changing, haven’t they? I saw him three times in person during lectures. He always entered the room from any common entrance to prepare everything for the lecture – not from the stage itself. I can tell you, when he entered the room you could feel it.

I never ceases to amaze me at how the Universe and synchronicity works. This beautiful poem goes hand in hand with the tarot card Spirit gave me to share today. Letting go and trusting the journey is easy to say, not always easy to do. Thank you, Erika!

So pleased you managed to get some relaxation time in Erika.. And that poem says it all… You know too, how much I was also inspired by Wayne Dyer and his wonderful teachings within his books, and I have many upon my book shelves… They are timeless reads, that keep on giving each time you read them..

I could literally recharge my batteries. It was a grat time-out.

Ah, yes, Wayne Dyer had those vibes. Whether the spoken or the written word, he touched souls where they needed it.

Thank you so much, dear Sue, have a wonderful week 💖

Isn’t it amazing how the written word can have such an impact, and even life changing consequences. I found the talks/writings of Leo Buscaglia had much the same impact on me.

One of his quotes – ““Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all
of which have the potential to turn a life around.”

It is completely amazing. The book has had such a special radiation. It radiates so much peace and love. Only opening the book made me feel this peaceful energy and supported that the words reached me deep inside where I could put one piece to the other.

Thank you for sharing the quote, Colin. If we all just noticed others that way and make them feel seen with compassion and respect. It is life-changing!
