Thank you! We get so easily lost in the grip of past events although they should only serve as guidance how to make things different or keep up the good path. The view should always go forward not backward.

That is well said. We often harp on the wrong perspective instead of the path that will bring us joy and tranquility in the long run.

Aren’t we a weird species? We rather torture ourselves with things we cannot change than looking ahead and making constructive use of the experience.

Not easy to let go, at times, but necessary to not get stuck💖

How true, Erika. Sending you much love and hug, sweet friend. I’m beginning a new season. I’ve let go of fear (and have prayed and meditated all morning). I’m substitute teaching this afternoon. It seems I’ll be busy at least 3 days a week. Cancer symptoms still try to sideline and the National Cancer Institute is bringing me back Nov. 18th for more scans as my liver enzymes and other levels show it’s “rearing” its ugly head (I still have it in my spine, hip, pelvis, ribs, and many lymph nodes). With all that said, “I’m letting go of the past” where I said goodbye to my career, not knowing it was cancer all of these years, and hugging today’s opportunity (and unfortunately, I can’t hug the kids per the “rules”–and perhaps, since I’m coming out of Covid, it’s wise to fist-bump and TELL THEM I LOVE THEM). I LOVE YOU, Erika! Have an amazing and blessed day and keep spreading the love.🩷💕🎶🤗🥰💛

It is amazing what you developed from this nasty disease. To hear that you are still in the grip of it yet even teach, made me smile. When something is so present, it is not easy to let go, since you get reminded of it permanently. But you do it anyway which is deeply impressive. I think, only when you reach such a deep level of understanding what a person makes, like you did, that moment comes. You look ahead and do what you can and want. I already said it, but you are not only an inspiration but a role model of how to live life. I love you too, my dear friend, Take care and enjoy the teaching, Much love to you 💖

This brought tears to my eyes. I’m humbled, sweet friend. You’ve given me more “gas in my tank” to head out soon. You’re such a blessing. Much love. 🩷🤗❣️

Haha, I love it. Perfectly said Erika. It is a teaching path to look back on or go forward, each has its place. To be ‘kept there’ just means not understanding something so it holds us there 🤗❤️🙏

That says it so well, Mark. Wonderfully expressed! Would you allow me to quote you with your last sentence?

I agree! The past, from a distance, should be seen like a deveolping manual.

Meanwhile, I reached the place where I can accept that summer is over and enjoy the special atmosphere of fall. Each year the same inner fight 😄
