Life happens without any warning
It happens when you least expect
It can turn your life all around
When you think all is set

Even more, we can’t believe
We want our old lives back
In one moment the sky is blue
The next one it’s pitch black

But that’s when we are called to search
That switch somewhere inside
We may need to go down quite deep
To see where it may hide

First, we get loud, we scream and cry
The WHY, a big blank page
But at one point, we’re getting still
And calm that inner rage

It needs the darkness that it pushes
To find our light and see
In calming our desperate mind
We find that inner key

The light turns on, the pain subsides
The big picture shows up
We understand the context in
Which we play a big part

Nothing in this big universe
Happens just by mistake
When even we may feel such pain
It’s love beneath the ache

Only an open heart can find
The switch inside its maze
It is all part of a big plan
For us to find our ways
