The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Thank you, Michael! We need to cross the darkness to enter the light, cross the river to get to new shores and climb a mountain to enjoy the view. All we achieve in this life only becomes meaningful when we have to invest effort which is part of the journey to awareness.

Beautiful words Erika. We do reach those points in our lives at times…but they too teach us a lovely wisdom. That we can reach beyond these times and appreciate them all the more for having experienced them.
I remember very distinctly being trashed as a teenager because someone didn’t want my love and left. It was a terrible time in that teenage angst. Then was totally not prepared for a very lovely young lady who then came into my life…only weeks later. I looked back at thinking this is the end of the world to eyes bright, love all around. And finally understood we need to touch it all, not judge ourselves on such instants and realize we are being given something quite profound.
As is your poem kind lady, those thorns are indeed painful sometimes, but the healing is also showing that love within it.
Great verse, and thank you for sharing the wisdom of your healing in it too 😀❤️🙏

And I think what’s important in this all is the desperation we are feeling about something ending. Only then can we appreciate (and recognize) the new blessing so much more!
Thank you very much, Mark. Yes, Healing is the painful part from A to B… but it is so worth it 💖

In answer to the question, “Have you ever thought that which felt right
Seems now all wrong?” YES! And every time, that feeling leads to a big change in life’s path. It’s not easy, but once you pull out the thorn, healing can begin. Fantastic poetry, Erika!

thank you very much, dear Jan! It so does!! Sometimes it takes a while until we accept that our direction does not fit the path we are walking anymore. I think that is the biggest step to take.

Lovely poem and metaphor about the thorn Erika…. A rose a prime example…. But as we travel through the stem of life, we navigate the thorns to see the beauty of what is about to bloom once we stop and take in the beauty and the fragrance…

Loved your poem Erika… Sending love xx ❤

Oh, yes, what a fantastic example. We only climb those thorns because we know that in the end, we reach the plant’s essence and beauty. And it is always there, regardless of the thorns. Beautiful, thank you for this comparison, Sue 💖
