#JustATought… Does Reality Exist?

A couple weeks ago, I featured Sanjo in the guest quote above. Seven words that can fill a book. It made me think a lot. What we see is only an image of what we believe is a reality. But in fact, it is something we created (together and individually). However, it is only a creation, which again is perceived subjectively.

It made me think. Is there even something like “reality”? Is there anything real at all? We can create any image we want instantly by what we want to think. What we think depends so much on our experiences that we interweaved with how we got shaped in the past and the mood we feel in that very moment. Our hopes and dreams, fears and beliefs are the spices in that remedy. That’s why no reality is like any other reality – neither in its creation nor in its perception. What we see today is a reflection of what everyone has added to that image since day one. It is one big image made of countless small ones. It’s a giant patchwork.

I don’t know about you, but that theory holds so much encouragement for me. Although, I knew that what is, is not what has to be in the next moment. But this theory even tells me that what is does not even exist. A while ago, I thought of all the digital music. In the end, there is no music at all. It is only data on a server or even in a cloud. We cannot see it anymore. There were CDs, tapes, and records. But now, it is all digital. So, if reality is only a digital image in our heads, why bother about what is when even this is only an image? Whatever I create is only an image. I am a life designer and walking camera, and I can pick and rearrange the objects in the picture as I feel. Maybe that thought is a little too abstract. But then again, is it? If nothing we see is real, then this whole life is only a movie. And that again supports the thought that we only come here to play a role that supports our development.

Yes, Sanjo’s quote made me think very deeply. We only see a creation that has nothing to do with anything that’s real. It only becomes a subjective reality if we let it. What do you think?

I loved reading this post, Erika. It got me thinking about what I believe reality is.

Our eyes are like a TV or movie screen; what is happening in front of us is playing out to who/whatever is behind those eyes. Although what is playing out may last 90+ years, that may be like two and a half hours to whoever is watching before they turn off what they are watching. That’s why what is going on must be entertaining enough to keep the viewer wanting more.

Does that sound crazy, or what?

Not crazy at all. Reality is so completely subjective. And I think when only this is settling deeper in everybody’s minds we would have so much awareness on everybody’s uniqueness and their right to be unique.
What stirs my thoughts even more is if there even is something like reality. What if it all was just a projection we believe in? It reminds me of the “Matrix”. What if we are part of a huge interactive program? We are co-programming but it is not real. Maybe a little abstract thinking but how liberating and freeing would that thought be since we cannot be hurt. That would support the idea of re-incarnation. Imagine a computer game. You have three lives. All used… you need to restart the game and incarnate again. The player never gets hurt only the character. Maybe that sounds crazy…haha. This only comes up now that I am writing this reply. So, your comment opened a gate of inspiration… lol.
Btw. I scheduled the post about commenting for Monday 25th 😉

That’s very interesting, Erika. I have read that some people believe what we see in the sky is just being projected from somewhere. So when we see clouds and stars, they’re not real, just projections. The same goes for the weather. This goes on to space – is it even real?

Thanks for telling me about you’re upcoming post. I am excited to read it. The blog comment subject got much discussion in the post I wrote. I’m sure your post will be the same.

It is real a pandora box that opens up. The more you think about it the more you think about it… lol
And speaking about pandora boxes… that comment subject is definitely one too, I wonder about the reactions…

I’m sure you’ll get lots, although strangely enough, none of the bloggers who leave (what I call) non-engaging comments (the ones that prove they visited and may not have read the post) left any comments.

I can relate to that completely. But what if those realities are not even realities? What if they are only projections which makes it so easy to switch attitudes and therefore our view on things so quickly. That thought really left me pondering!

Hey Erika, that’s a thinker for my first day back 🤣
Life is but a mirror. Our intent ‘out there’ is creating what is inside us. Everything ‘out there’ we ever add to what is within us. When I died on my kitchen floor…there was still me ‘inside’, but I had let go of all else. We play in this sandpit with this body and our spirit incorporating it, so that we can ‘feel’ it all and learn from it…but inside is what we are creating, another vehicle, another way, with what we have created.
How is your ‘vehicle’ going kind lady, mine hasn’t run out of gas…yet 😂❤️🙏

This is so amazing what you say. That is what I wanted to express but it is so difficult. All of a sudden everything looks different. We project a slightly or even dramatically different picture. But it still is a picture projected from our inside. This is such an interesting subject. So, let’s fuel that vehicle to let it project many more movies and images for our joy and education!

To touch it after all is said and done down here is an amazing thing dear lady. To be ‘separate’ and ‘look back’ (so to speak), is a profound thing. Or just another change into something else, that butterfly within us all 😀❤️🙏

It was an amazing thing when Spirit took me into that place of unconditional love. You ‘knew’ everything, if you wished you could go, touch, feel anything, but you didn’t ‘need’ to. There was no time, everything just was…and that constant, incredibly beautiful love was just ever present.
The first thing that Spirit ever said to me was…we, as Spirit up there, know everything…but we do not ‘know’ it. It’s like reading 50 books on growing roses, you now have all that information…but…it isn’t until we experience the actual growing with all its joy or disappointment, and then appreciate what we have achieved in those experiences, that we finally do come to truly ‘know’ it in its truth. Hence our coming down here to ‘know’ love, truly appreciate it all in our empathy and compassion to build that love within us. It is the only thing we take back, changed forever, and beautifully so 😀❤️🙏

What you say here reminds me of what I wrote lately that we all are one energy. This one energy we call God or universe, or whatever. God experiences Himself through us. He knows everything but wants to experience it. So, we are the particles of God being born into anawareness to experience everything in its depth to really understand who we are. And we share those experiences since we are one energy, unseparably connected.
Your experience brings this thought into the matter. Thank you very much!

It’s difficult for me to wrap my logical mind around the fact that everything in our existence is an illusion. Yet, I know, on a deep soul level that it’s true. We are just passing through, doing our work, learning our lessons and moving on. Thanks for sharing!

I hear you, Jan. It is very difficult to imagine that for me either since I am having such a rational mind that always asks for proof. Sanjo’s words made me ponder about that and after all that pondering I ended up what I had heard that everything here is not real. But I only remembered that “theory” during that thought path. Thanks for reading and thinking about this, Jan.

We all have a collective reality ( a perceived reality of the world around us) then we have our own individual realities ( what we, see, sense, understand and what awareness we are in on a daily basis). Thank you for this thought today because it gives us a lot to think about.

The interesting thing is, is any reality really real? That’s what Sanjo’s words made pondering. When realities are so different, are they actually existing or are they only bodyless reflections like from a projector.

I could write loads on this, reality is very subjective. In essence it’s quite democratic, it basically hinges on what the majority decide what is going on and there’s very little empirically we can derive from it. It’s like if I see red do you see red like I see it? You might be seeing green from my perspective. How do you tell?

Also, the universe is made up of matter – what is matter? A form of energy. All matter is made up of atoms most of which is empty space. Everything we are and see and feel is particles of energy made into atoms to create matter. We’re made of mostly nothing and we never really ‘touch’ anything we feel. If it wasn’t the electromagnetic forces giving us form we fall through the Earth or anything else we encounter. It’s crazy to think about…

If you ever find out what reality or existence is let me know… I would like to know.

Yes, yes, I thought the same about colors. Maybe that is also one reason why people like some colors better than others. I totally love your thoughts. I see you got what I wanted to talk about. Although we see and feel things physically, do they really exist? It all is energy, as you said, so, is this all simply a hologram for us to play our stories? A big virtual reality?
Again, I like your thoughts to this post, Simon!
