Funky Soulmates on Stage

I’m getting back to you today with an extra post. I helped out in a band for a gig last Saturday. Helping out because one of the two lead singers left last November, and a second one got necessary. If you look at the videos, though, you’ll only see one singer – me. Because the other singer got sick at short notice and couldn’t join the event. How ironic… lol. So I changed the concept of the songs, learned all the extra lyrics and different voices within a few days, and … everything went well!

In the following, I share some excerpts of five of the songs we played. Sorry, for the quality but most videos were taken by a smartphone and/or only from one angle. Hope you like it 😊

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Thank you kind lady. And my gift is just like your sense of music dear lady, I too get into it, feel that beat with a love that our gifts give us. How can we not enjoy such a thing 😀❤️🙏🏽

What a position to find yourself in, being the only singer! However you did well and the audience no doubt appreciated you being there. I liked your performance of Baby Love best. Great job Erika. 🙂

It was really weird how everything developed in such a short time. But you know, after more than 40 years on stage (when even so many different kinds of stages) you have your tools and know how you function to keep the show going on. Actually, that makes everything even more thrilling. And nevertheless, I always said that I am not a choir singer, so, I enjoy it much more being the only singer… lol
Baby Love was the song we all had the most respect for. It was actually sorted out for that gig but since we had to remove another song due to the absence of the one singer, the band had to hang in again… I always loved singing that song. It forces you, even more, to go with the energy of the song.
I am very happy you liked what you saw and heard, Colin. I am glad, I could share this special event with you too 😊
