Funky Soulmates on Stage

I’m getting back to you today with an extra post. I helped out in a band for a gig last Saturday. Helping out because one of the two lead singers left last November, and a second one got necessary. If you look at the videos, though, you’ll only see one singer – me. Because the other singer got sick at short notice and couldn’t join the event. How ironic… lol. So I changed the concept of the songs, learned all the extra lyrics and different voices within a few days, and … everything went well!

Simply Awesome!

After I shared “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by Jared Halley, Colin, of MeAndRay, told me to check out Halley’s version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Really, I have no words for what talent and, at the same time, genius in coordination he is. The man has no instrument to rely on but hits every singly note precisely and is always on time with every instrument he “imitates”. Listen to that electric guitar. You would not believe there is a voice.

Friday Song

I heard a beautiful version of “Country Roads” this morning. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it on YouTube, BUT…. I found something even better. This cover version is fantastic in general, but also because the artist does every voice and instrument himself, AND because of the creative video. This guy is amazing! Yesterday I stumbled over Chris Mann due to a Corona parody video. I checked out more of his songs and couldn’t believe my ears. His voice and his way of expression are outstanding. I listened to some of his records and found versions of You Raise Me Up and Hallelujah. I had not thought that there someone is able to top the ones I called my favorite versions. Both were moving me to tears.
