Not always is it possible nor healthy to be happy, Erika. Accepting those sad or painful emotions is a good thing IF we do not hang on them. Work through them, and then let them go so you can get back to genuinely smiling. That is true healing.

I already explained to Ritu that we must not oppress our feelings. But it is a difference, if we choose to be negative or positive in general. I don’t want to repeat what I already said but there is a difference between sadness or a deep unhappiness we take as a fact and only bury ourselves deeper into it πŸ˜‰

Hmm, that’s tricky. On one hand, chocolate makes you happy but then also even frustrated when you stand on the scale… lol. Like with everything, it is the way you look at it that decides how you feel about it πŸ˜‚

You should never oppress your emotions. But we can talk ourselves into a negative spiral which keeps us stuck in a habit of negative emotions. And we need to remember that it is a choice of how we want to feel. I see a difference between being unhappy and sad. Even a happy mind can be sad at times which is part of life. One does not exclude the other. But when there is a happy foundation, you know that it is not your nature but just a temporary emotion.πŸ’–
