It’s that time of year again
When hearts are a little more
Transparent and open
From and to their core

The time of year when we don’t mind
The early darkening days
For we love to see the lights
Shining in such beautiful ways

Maybe we just need to learn
That light is not a seasonal bliss
It’s always there and most visible
When darkness appears as all there is
