So true! It’s much easier to ignore our injuries than to fix them. Thank you!

Right, and since it appears so easy, they have time to settle and cause infections.

Too often I run away from them. Doesn’t achieve anything.

Exactly, nothing at all! But turning away first, is so human, isn’t it? We don’t want to be hurt and try to avoid to look at it. But at some point, we cannot ignore it anymore and need to decide between resigning or healing.

It is alright to admit when we’re not okay so that the healing process can begin. Your quote fits perfectly the times of the world right now.

Ah alas, we misunderstand them. Always pointing the finger at those ‘others’ we feel are responsible for ‘injuring’ us at every turn. One day we will see what the pain is actually responding to, and finally realise it isn’t the swing of another’s emotional axe but the fact that our heart is already injured and so, so tender from it so it takes very little to hurt it further. Heal that injury and the other axe wielders lose all their power and we will no longer even heed them as a danger…because we in our turn have become so strong in that healing and belief in what we have now become. Great post dear lady, it isn’t an easy task to look 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

It isn’t easy at all. And as long as we can, we automatically refuse to look at it. But at one point the pain becomes to strong and we cannot help it but to look closer in order to stop the pain. Those are important thoughts behind injuries and the process of healing. Thank you for this great comment, Mark!

Thank you for sharing your heart. To see another’s scars in their writing is bravery indeed, and also gives the reader confidence that it can be done dear lady. They ‘hear’ the truth in your words 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

I feel it as an obligation and service to everyone who could need it, to share the experience that everything can be overcome when we are only brave enough. And you are a wonderful example, Mark! Thank you!

We must look at them to know how to treat them!

That’s the point. Otherwise there is the thread of infection which makes things worse over time.
