#MomentsOfJoy

Today, I am sharing another part of the beautiful area I live in that is only a 20 minutes drive. Last October, we went up to the Chäserugg in Switzerland. It thought about the name because “Chäs” in Swiss German means cheese. When I did some researches on the internet, that interpretation was only one of the options. It could also come from the word “Kaiser” (Emporer). Nothing confirmed, though. However, it is a mountain with an altitude of 2262 m (7421 feet). To the intermediate station, we went by a cable railway. Then we had to change the vessel and continued with a big ropeway to reach the top station. Enjoy the view!

Let’s start at the mountain top.

We walked around on that high plateau. The view was breathtaking and spectacular in all directions.

After we went back to the intermediate station where we had lunch and enjoyed a beautiful view of the mountain Säntis, we went down again with the cable railway.

I hope you enjoyed the little trip. Have a lovely and joyful day!

Absolutely stunning. I so needed that today. October was our favourite time to visit Switzerland, Everything was still running to summer timetables and it was very quiet. The colours and the patches I’d snow just made the place just that little bit extra special. I can see why you smiled. Thank you again. x

And I so understand why you like that landscape and the area so much. Yes, autumn is a beautiful season over here. I love doing such trips in that season. I am happy I could make you smile a little with these photos 😊

I am living in an area where other people go on vacation. I only began to cherish this a few years ago since I have been used to it all my life.

What an incredible view Ericka, places like that leave you in awe of the world, an appreciation of what we do have in our midst. Thank you for sharing your altitude, I’m beginning to think you can fly 😂 🤣

The power of creation in its origine. I like to think what those mountains might have seen and how many creatures have passed them over the millenia.
No, not flying… no no… lol

Ah Erika!! How gorgeously stunning, I can feel that crisp mountain air on my face. I so miss elevation and the magic in the mountains. It’s been so long since I visited them. Your pictures really captured their majesty so beautifully. Thank you for the daydream🥰🏔🙏

Oh, Gosh, that reminds me of climbing the Campanile in Florence. I was terrified to go down the small, steep, winding staircase… and no handrail while at the same time people were going up too. Once down, I was still shaking for at least an hour.

It is amazing up there and I can get there in such a short time. Should do it much more often since there are many more places around like this one. Glad you liked it, sis 😊
