#MomentsOfJoy

In addition to my Monday post, I would like to continue with thoughts of happiness. It is so important to understand that happiness is not something that is given or granted to us. Happiness is a decision, and yes, a state of mind. If I can choose to be unhappy, then I can also choose to be happy. Regardless of the situation, there is always something nearby that lifts the heart… simply dare to open your heart to it!

Joy is always there. It can be that first sip of coffee, a warming ray of sun after three days of rain, or it is the cozy blanket and a cup of tea on a cold evening. It may be my own smile, and it is up to me when I am using it. Joy is always there. Sometimes it may be a bit buried, covered with dust or thrown in a corner… but it is there, waiting patiently until we let it shine again.

Last week, I spent 4 days with my mom on the island of Sylt. We had a beautiful time and enjoyed the time together a lot, next to exploring a place we haven’t been before. As soos as I can, I will share a post of that trip. The island is a dream and really special in its own charming way.

Although I like the song I am sharing today, it is not one of my favorites. But the reason I am posting it is that it reminds me of the many wonderful times I was allowed to spend in southern California. I haven’t been there for so long and miss it a lot. Due to the current Corona problems, I have no idea when I can go there again.

The older the children get, the fewer moments you have them all around you. I cherish those moments. I am also very grateful and happy that they all get along so wonderfully (including the three brothers-in-law). This photo was taken on our trip to Meersburg 10 days ago. Moments of joy that I have locked up deep in my heart.

A Trip Towards Heaven / #MomentsOfJoy

This Monday, we made a trip to the Jungfraujoch. It is on an altitude of 3454 m/11333 ft. The mountain Jungfrau itself is at an altitude of 4.158 m/13,642 ft. Next to it are the Eiger at 3.970 m/13,015 ft) (you may know that mountain from some dramatic documentaries about groups climbing them in the 1930s, many people died), and the Mönch at 4.110 m/13,474 ft. The photo next shows all the three: on the left (sorry, not complete on the picture) the Eiger, then the Mönch, and on the left the Jungfrau.

For today’s #MomentsOfJoy I am sharing a song I was listening to over and over again. It is the theme song of the workshops of Esther and Jerry († Nov. 2011) Hicks. She is the author of The Law of Attraction, The Vortex, and many more books. When I was heading with highspeed to my breakthrough moment, this book was one of the stepstones. In 2009 I had the opportunity to join one of those workshops in which Esther Hicks is channeling Abraham, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Today, I am sharing another part of the beautiful area I live in that is only a 20 minutes drive. Last October, we went up to the Chäserugg in Switzerland. It thought about the name because “Chäs” in Swiss German means cheese. When I did some researches on the internet, that interpretation was only one of the options. It could also come from the word “Kaiser” (Emporer). Nothing confirmed, though. However, it is a mountain with an altitude of 2262 m (7421 feet). To the intermediate station, we went by a cable railway. Then we had to change the vessel and continued with a big ropeway to reach the top station. Enjoy the view!

Happy Wednesday, everybody! Today, I simply want to share one of my favorite spots of this planet. It is a viewpoint at Crescent Bay Point Park, Laguna Beach, with a spectacular view over the Pacific Ocean with its breathtaking wideness. Usually, the rock is crowded with sea lions and pelicans. And if you are a little lucky, you can spot dolphins or even wales. It is a stunning place at any time of the day. It is always my first trip when I am back in SoCal. Enjoy the view 😎

For this #MomentsOfJoy, I thought of a song that always manages to make me smile and dance. The song itself has this effect on me but also takes me back to the time it was published. I was 13 and as usual, we spent a part of the summer break in Vienna. When I heard this song, I loved it so much that I made it the first song I bought on a single (like the one below).

Today, I would like to share a video I posted some years ago. It shows (perhaps a little too much) the difference in the sound between German and other languages… Have some moments of joy 😄

Hi, everyone! What about some songs which don’t only spread a good feeling and give a lift but also take us along into a world where we can leave our worries behind and find distance to those we used to hang on to. And what songs could work better than Disney songs?

Today, I would like to share some photos of the place I live or actually what I see when I look out of my windows or being in my garden. I hope you feel the energy and peace a little bit that is coming from this place. To me, it is anything but a challenge to stay at home. I can finally absorb this all a little more and it fills me totally – much needed. While preparing this post, all I can hear is the sound of the birds.

I think all of us make good use of some distractions. Why not sharing something funny, uplifting or beautiful? It can be a joke, a picture with a beautiful view, a song, a video, a story or whatever comes to your mind. It only needs to be positive with only positive words for creating positive feelings in everyone who visits.

I think all of us make good use of some distractions from the current #1 theme. Why not sharing something funny, uplifting or beautiful (at least) once a week. It can be a joke, a picture with a beautiful view from the area you live or a place you like a lot, a song, a video, a story or whatever comes to your mind. It only needs to be positive with only positive words.

Who would like to join in (on a Wednesday or any other day of the week)?
