When I was thinking about what I could write, I was distracted by a junk-email. While deleting it, my view went over the many folders of my inbox. One of those holds some very precious emails of a blogger who became a dear friend on WordPress. It was touching and deeply moving to read those emails again after 5 years.
When we met on WordPress, I was impressed by the depth of his poetry and his view on life and beneath. After a little while, I learned that he had cancer at a very late stage. That’s when we emailed at times because catching up with WordPress was often too exhausting for him. After about half a year, he stopped emailing and disappeared from WordPress. A few months later I heard that he had died.
I admired him for his way of dealing with his situation. He never moaned, he never complained, he never blamed anyone. Instead, he was encouraging, supportive, compassionate. His energy was light and embracing. He accepted his situation and aside from it, he only focused on how to give as long as it was possible. Whatever he wrote was filled with a deep appreciation for life and for its little wonders which he recognized as big blessings. He was able to open the view for a bigger picture and at the same time, for little details which make that big picture.

This post is not meant as a tribute or as another Corona-lesson post. It simply made me see how a person who chased its ego away can make room to let its soul take over. It made me see that what the soul leaves will remain. His emails, although 5 years old, have not lost a bit of their strong and loving energy and their messages are still going as deep as they did when I read them for the first time. Maybe with the insight about their persistence they have become even more meaningful.
We don’t need to be sick or close to death to reach such a state being. We don’t need to be reminded by life and by what it throws at us. We can be in that energy from this very moment on. We can reach it the best and the fastest when we think about what good could we do for this world. That will open a door. A door to ourselves. When we walk through it, we discover a place so much more powerful and more meaningful. The feeling of “I Am”, of “You Are”, of “We Are”. We are souls who came here to learn and we are provided a paradise. Let’s enjoy this paradise and be grateful for everyone living in it. Let’s understand that we all are here for the same reason.
Let’s live, let’s love, let’s smile, let’s support, let’s heal, let’s be!
Now I know why I got distracted…

So do I definitely too, Jan. When I saw this quote it touched my heart deeply. It sounds so simple but there is a deep truth lying in those words. Thank you very much for stopping by 😊💖

Good distraction and a moment created just for you. We should be in a state of appreciation always. What is here today could be gone tomorrow. What we do here on this Earth in this lifetime will remain in some form or another, long after we are physically gone. Very inspiring and touching post, Erika 🙏🏽💖

Thank you, Sylvester. Yes, exactly. Treasure the moment, live the moment. The moment may pass but when we are in the moment it keeps a little bit of us and in everyone who joined that moment. And you know, whom I was talking about, don’t you?

Celebrating you and the life of your friend. Again, your book is really comforting me right now as our world’s situation leaves me feeling very heavy. Today I am having a long distance Reiki session that I know will help me. Love, peace, health & safety dear Erika😊✌❤🌎

Yes, indeed, Mark. Sometimes when I have no idea I send the question above about what to write and then I let it happen and let me be guided. I am very happy you liked it, dear friend 😊
