Egyptian Dreams

As I buried my toes

In Egyptian sand

The wind in my hair

On my back lies your hand

The sound of the waves

So peaceful and calm

And you by my side

Your face in my palm

The sea clear like glass

In turquoise, green, and blue

I’m riding on a wave

Getting closer to you

I’m burying my toes

In the warm Egyptian sand

When even it was a dream

I’m sure, I felt your hand

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Erika, thanks for the shout out. I love the two pictures at the beginning and the end. I also enjoy the paired opening and closing stanzas. I hope you had a cool drink of choice by your side. When I drank many moons ago, a margarita would suit nicely. Keith

It was really inspiring what you said there, most of all since I was still on vacation when I read it. The pics where taken when I was on a snorkeling trip with my older son. It was beyond beautiful. The whole day was a wonderful experience. I wrote the poem right there and then. Since it was extremely hot I had a big bottle of water next to me… lol! The drink followed in the evening… hehe.

Thanks. Water is better, especially now that I don’t drink. Well, you penned wonderful verse. I am going to include a poem in my next post, but I borrowed it from a movie who borrowed it from ee cummings. Keith
